The AARP Bulletin had an article about finding an elder care lawyer. I needed to update my current Last Will and so one of the websites specifically listed lawyers in my area. I narrowed it down to where I live and read Andrew Byers' information. We spoke on the phone during which he was professional, succinct . Andrew also followed through on everything. We set up an appointment and I now have peace of mind as I near retirement. I would highly recommend Andrew Byers due to his being organized and the end product being above my expectations.

Our father was wrapping up our mother's estate in 2017 when he passed just a few months after learning about his illness. We reached out to Andrew, who immediately agreed to meet with my sister, brother, and me to discuss the steps we would need to take following his passing, as well as the steps to close my father's estate eventually. Andrew’s depth of knowledge regarding applying for VA benefits for my mom as a spouse of a serviceman was what sealed the deal. He follows courtcases closely on the subject to best advise when and how to apply to keep up with the many recent changes. He also did the needed POAs and trust. He came out promptly to see my mom to get the ball rolling. He is also quite competitive and certainly reasonable with his pricing.

I wanted a Living Will so my children would know my wishes and so they would receive my possessions with having to go to probate court. Andrew Byers gave me much more than just a Will. A Will and Testament, a Live Will, a Patient Advocate Designation and other services that I do not know the names for. He provided me with a peace of mind that I am ready and that my children will get there inheritance with less hassle, instead of the government.

Mr. Byers help me and my family when our mother entered elder care and hospice. After she passed, we had a deed issue with her house. He was able to resolve that too.
A year or so later my brother passed away. Mr. Byers helped guide us through Probate to settle his estate.

We hired Mr. Byers for our estate planning and were very satisfied. When my husband became disabled, Mr. Byers handled everything required to get him placed in a nursing home. This is a very involved and difficult process and I could not have accomplished what we needed without him. Andrew Byers is efficient, professional, honest and kind.
