Golden Dragon

This neighborhood Chinese restaurant is on one of my favorite restaurant and grocery shopping corners on Mount Pleasant and Centerville Turnpike in Chesapeake VA. I immediately noticed this restaurant costs more than the other local Chinese restaurants. I purchased my favorite hot and sour soup along with a lunch order of garlic shrimp which comes with pork fried rice and a soda. I prefer brown rice or Jasmine rice but their pork fried rice was okay. The lunch was nothing special at all but I’d recommend their hot and sour soup to everyone. Expect to pay a couple dollars more for every thing

Best hot and sour soup I have had in over 20 years. The food was all delicious, plentiful, and FAST. The people were friendly and helpful. This restaurant has a limited menu, but the food quality is really good. We will continue to eat here, and buy a lot of soup!

Yum! We ordered while we had family in town. Family said prices were cheap and it was the best Chinese food they ever had. It was tasty and able to pick up very quickly.

Went in thinking I'd just get a plain old Chinese takeout. Then I got hit with the greatest mix of tastes I'd ever had. Would recommend, employees are splendid.

I stopped in here completely by accident and am very glad I did! Our normal restaurant was closed because it was a Monday as was the next closest place. I picked Golden Dragon based on the reviews and we were not disappointed! Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and very delicious! Even though it's a little out of the way to pick up on my way home from work, Golden Dragon will definitely become our new "normal" restuarant for Chinese takeout!!!

Customer service is great, the woman who delivered our food was really sweet as well. We ordered the lo mein, general tso, fried dumplings and egg drop soup. All was pretty tasty. We'd definitely order from here again.My wife and I really enjoyed our dinners. The Egg Drop soup was very flavorful and not like the other places. We will be back again.

Decided to try this restaurant as our usual Chinese place is closed on mondays. The girl that answered the phone could not understand what my address was. I repeated several times and then tried to spell it for her. I got half way through spelling the street and she said we don’t deliver to there. I told her that she was 3.2 miles from my house and was told they only delivered 2 miles. Thanked me for calling and hung up. Never even giving me a chance to pick food up myself. Called another Chinese restaurant which was 6 miles away and they had no problem with delivery or understanding me. I never

As far as traditional Chinese takeout goes, this establishment meets the expectation. The restaurant is quite clean, the staff is friendly, and the food arrives hot and fresh, amd rather quick. Being greeted as I walk into the door is always a bonus too. Location is key and this place is closest to me, and luckily it meets the expectation of a chinese takeout restaurant. The egg rolls could use a little improvement in their crunch but other than that this place is my go-to for Chinese takeout while I live in the hickory area. Check it out for a decent meal.

Great people. The new owners are so genuinely sweet. Really helpful. They make your food just how you like it. Very clean, a delightful change from most chinese restaurants. Had the Honey chicken and pork fried rice with an egg roll, it was delicious! I will be here often.
