If you want PURE, traditional yoga that goes far beyond stretching, this is your place. The owner has cultivated an atmosphere that has made the studio feel like home since the first time I walked through the doors in 2007. The staff is warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. YCHL has a sense of community I haven't experienced anywhere else.

Sad that I'm only here for a few more days! This place is great. I love yoga, but do not practice regularly and I'm sure it shows, but I felt very comfortable here, challenged yet encouraged. The instructors are so nice, unique and welcoming. Brittany, Marissa and Alexandra were great instructors. I was just in Houston for a month because my husband and I are traveling the country for a year, and I found Joy during our stay. I wrote about it more in my blog at tandaintheusofa.wordpres…!

I have been attending classes at this studio for more than 12 years. My family and I have done all kinds of yoga classes, workshops, retreats, drum circles, kirtan concerts, book clubs, prenatal/baby/kids/tween yoga, writing workshops, free meditation sessions, Reiki training, essential oils workshops, etc. The teachers are each expertly trained and certified, each offering their own unique gifts. Times and variety of classes are comprehensive and there is something for everyone each and every day of the week.

My sister & I tried this place a couple of times and both found the owner to be very rude. She was apparently annoyed that we were using gift certificates given to us by our mom at Christmas instead of paying her cash. . . she was so unfriendly! I was quickly disappointed that we were met with someone with an attitude not only once but both times. Unfortunately, my moms money was totally wasted at the Yoga Center! I did give this place a 1 star but it came up that I hated it - I wouldn't give this place(or any place) that much energy to hate it - not worth it. . . I TOTALLY disliked it though!

The Yoga Center for Healthy Living is a great studio to practice the true meaning of yoga as described in the 8 Limb Path. I first started attending classes at the studio in 2008. At the time I had just had a baby and was so excited to be able to bring my baby to the Mom and Baby yoga classes. I enjoyed a variety of other classes like Taking Care of Backs, Hatha and Vinyasa. Not only was I getting my physical practice, but I was learning about the essence of yoga. The teachers are so knowledgeable and talented and the studio offers a wide variety of yoga classes and times. I really enjoy the workshops

I love practicing yoga at the Yoga Center for Healthy Living! LeeAnn has created a warm and inviting studio atmosphere for all levels and ages of yoga students. At this studio I am able to choose from all types of classes as there are many options every day, and there's always one to fit in my schedule whether I have time for yoga in the AM or PM. I enjoy learning yoga from many different instructors, as I feel each has their own special style and gifts to share with their students. The studio is a very tranquil space and offers a quiet space before and/or after class for some time of relaxation

Wonderful classes and great teachers! Although I'd practiced sporadically for years, it wasn't until I took my first class here that I truly fell in love with yoga. Studying yoga with Lee Ann and her wonderful selection of teachers inspired me: I'm now an RYT, and YES, I completed my training here as well. =)

After moving from CA a couple years ago I wanted to do Yoga on a regular basis, in a studio, to help me get great looking arms for my upcoming wedding (I had tried it a few times at the gym). I checked out a few local studios but was drawn back to the Yoga Center. There were variety of classes and teachers. Everyone was so warm and kind. I felt very welcome and comfortable. Who knew there were so many benefits from yoga inside and out. I continue on a regular basis, grateful to have found this wonderful serenity from my mat.

Marvelous yoga center. Instructors genuinely care about helping one advance in their practice. Focus is on yoga, not just exercise. Sutra studies, workshops, classes are offered in addition to the physical classes.
Never pressured to 'perform'...listening to your body's wisdom is a mantra at Yoga Center. Many different classes...I've taken most of them. Specialty classes on Friday evenings - Partner Yoga is one of my favorites. So is Zumba, and this is from a guy that zero rhythm.
Teacher training is a big component. Just had a class today with a teaching in training - very

I love love love this place! A couple of weeks ago I received a Living Social email offering an unlimited month of yoga for $30, an incredible price! I've been getting more into yoga over the past couple of years or so but I've been hesitant due to some bad experiences with instructors.
From the moment you walk into Yoga Center for Healthy Living you can notice the difference between this place and others. It's cozy (not too small though, plenty of room) and the instructors and students are friendly and inviting. They offer a lot of different classes (incl. Prenatal Yoga, Yoga
