Starting in 1940 Grandma and Grandpa More started designing wedding flowers out of their home in S.E. Portland Oregon. At that time, they had a beautiful garden and grew many of their own flowers. Of course Roses were always plentiful in Portland. They grew many varieties of Bulb flowers like Gladiolas, tulips, Iris, Dahlias, Peonies, Daffidils and others.
The Brides Bouquet should be everything she wants it to be in texture, color, flowers, scent, weight, and feel. When choosing the flowers for your bouquets keep in mind the time of year of your wedding and the location your wedding will take place. Remember that Mother Nature dictates which flowers are in season at different times of the year.
Corsages come in all shapes and sizes. Although Roses work best because they will last most of the day and I make them so they have a water source, there are many other flowers that work for corsages and boutonnieres. All of my chest corsages and boutonnieres are "pinless" which means they are held onto the lapel or garment with a small magnet.
