If you want to try scuba diving, but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. PADI dive shops offer this program either in a pool, off a beach or from a dive boat. To sign up for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old.

Scuba Dive It is a full-service dive center located in Pompano Beach, Florida. Our passion is teaching people how to dive and sharing the underwater world with other divers. Our primary goal is to provide a safe and controlled five-star scuba diving experience to all of our customers. To accomplish this goal, we only work with the best instructors, dive masters and charter boat operators in the industry.
Boat dive trips are two dives at two locations. Divers will have approximately one hour of dive time at each location, air and bottom time permitting Departure Times: 8:30 AM & 1:30 PM Daily. The Pompano Ledges (Drop off) Our shallow reef dive sites are excellent for beginners and intermediate divers as well as snorkelers.

Most of our local dives begin with the dive on a shipwreck followed by a drift dive on our reef. Most of our shipwreck dive sites have more than one shipwreck at the same location.
Our short adventure dive trips are great way to explore our local dive sites both in Florida and in the Bahamas. These awesome weekend adventure dive trips are great ways to meet new divers and have lots of fun while exploring underwater. You may even learn some new skills along the way. In order to secure your reservation and receive the best possible price on any of our adventure dive trips, you need to book your trip early.
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is one of the most enjoyable ways of discovering if Scuba diving is for you. During your PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience you will have the opportunity to explore amazing shallow reefs dive sites under the direct supervision of your PADI Divemaster or instructor.

My son and I came down to Pompano Beach for the holidays to get Open Water Scuba Certified and we couldn't have picked a better place to learn than with Tim from Scuba Dive It. From the very beginning we were made to feel welcome and well taken care of. Just got back from an amazing day with Tim! He provided us with the best, most personalized, and fun excursion we have ever done! We went to Blue Heron Bridge for a “Discover” trip. Neither of us had ever went diving before but Tim was a great teacher and guide and we wound up staying underwater for almost an hour. We saw amazing sea creatures and even got to hold a crab. I Heard about this shop through a friend but I had NO IDEA what I was in for... For starters Kurt was super helpful when it came to figuring out a plan that fit my schedule. I wanted to get my advanced without having any certifications and do it in 1 week. I love the ocean and always wanted to get certified in Scuba Diving and I could not have picked a better place to get certified! I spent two days of the physical part of the certification with my instructor in a controlled lake environment. My instructor was patient and thanks to his conservative approach, I got certified and went on two "real" dives following my open water certification 60 ft deep for over 30 minutes! I was confident and relaxed which made the certification process worth it! I will come back for my advanced certification.

Used their website to schedule several boat dives. I found it to be very user friendly with the ability to easily schedule what you want and when you want. I had a question about it and called the shop where I easily got my questions answered. They don't own the boats which makes the cooperation between shops imperative, which it was, and went off without a hitch. Very good group, especially Scuba Dive It's Terry E. who we had the pleasure to dive with. Highly recommend.

I took a refresher course and my son took his open water with Kurt. Great choice, Kurt is funny and is a great instructor. He really knows how to relay the material in a way that's easy to understand and genuinely cares about your experience. The two boat dives were amazing we had an absolute blast. I did my PADI open water cert with Kurt in March 2019, and it was an awesome experience. He was able to fit me in with less than 24 hours' notice, and everything was perfect. He's been diving since the 70's, has tons of PADI certifications, and it shows. He's a professional, knows his stuff, and won't waste your time. His gear is high end (not the cheap stuff you'll get at other dive shops) and basically brand new. I was so happy with Kurt that I'll be getting my advanced cert with him in a couple weeks. Since my grandfather retired and bought a place in Florida I decided to leave NJ for the winter and enjoy the warm weather in South Florida! I was already open water certified and wanted to advance my certifications so I found ScubaDive It on groupon and I've been diving weekly with Kurt since then - September 2018. Great place to learn any SCUBA needs! Inquired about a Groupon deal, he offered a better Summer Special for Open Water class w/ gear and education docs. Took my Open Water Cert with Kurt and had a marvelous time. Kurt is perfect for students who are brand new or nervous because he's extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and safety oriented. For folks who already have some experience, he can take it to the next level with his tips and isn't afraid to give critiques to make you a better diver.

I've wanted to get scuba certified for years and finally got an opportunity to go on a dive right after Christmas. Scuba Dive It was the only company I found that was flexible and offered multiple classes during the week so that I could quickly complete the open water certification in a short amount of time. The instructor and owner, Kurt, is knowledgeable and made me feel at ease right away. He was extremely patient and accommodating, allowing me to complete the underwater skills at my own pace. Scuba Dive It is the ALL inclusive dive store in Broward County/Ft Lauderdsle/Pompano area. Owner operated both are very conscience of there customers and students. Offering it all from A-Z in diving. Air fills, Nitrox fills and dives, dive trips day and night. Pretty disappointed in the outfit. They piggyback on another dive shops boat which I don't have an issue with. However their information is not updated and their shop location is not what is shown on the receipt which wasted a morning of my time looking for the shop. I needed a partial gear rental which they offered when I booked the dive but they did not bother to show up the morning of the dive and let the boat owner do all the work. They also did not call ahead to let them know we are coming so we had to spend some time figuring out payment and reservation details once we arrived the morning

I am doing the advance open water certification with Kurt at Scuba Dive It. I got open water certified in another dive shop and I can tell you with all confidence that Scuba Dive It is by far the best dive shop in all south florida. I am DM certified and have been diving with them for a few months now and I can honestly say the professional and staff at Scuba Dive It are the real deal. More than just a dive shop or a dive club and don't have the pretentiousness of other dive shops/clubs I have used.
