Relax with your friends or family at the perfect place in southern Illinois for fun and relaxation. If it's golfing, the wine trail, hiking, antiquing, business, or exploring the Shawnee National Forest, we are close to them all!

We had a wonderful time staying in cabin 3. Tom is a great host and made our visit pleasant, relaxing and made us feel welcome. The cabin was clean and a delight to stay in. There are a lot of hiking trails and other cool sites to see near by. I will make it a yearly trip, it really was that relaxing and pleasant.

We stayed in cabin 1 for a small Christmas getaway. Tom is an excellent host. The scenery is so beautiful and the cabins are so cozy! Lots of great hiking in the area too. We woke up to six deer passing through in front of our pond. Cabin 1 has an awesome wrap around porch and a deck. I loved sitting on it and enjoying the local soundscape. There are train tracks really close by, which I personally enjoyed as I grew up around trains. Over all we had a great stay and would come here again.

We had a wonderful time staying at Cabin 1 on the pond this past weekend There was so many things to do Our own private beach to swim in Zipline was fun! Done enjoyed fishing from the dock Relaxing on… the upper deck and enjoying the view Campfire on the beach at night The stars and full moon were so beautiful I would highly recommend this place for a Family reunion or a girls getaway Very dog friendly

We rented Cabin 2 and 3 for our bridal party in the days leading up to our fall wedding. It gave us a great place to reconnect with old friends by a cozy fire. We actually cancelled our original plans to bar hop for our bachelorette/bachelor parties and just had drinks in the cabins with music. They are spread out enough that you don't have to worry about noise. Tom helped us build a fire and was always nearby if we needed anything but certainly was not intrusive. The fully equipped kitchens saved us so much money by allowing us to cook meals. Being maybe 5 minutes from Arnold's Market meant we

We had an amazing weekend here playing in the pond and fishing. There was lots to choose from to do: pinball machines, board games, canoeing, zip lining, water trampolining, swimming, grilling, fishing, bonfire bash, DirecTV, outdoor hot shower, and hiking in the woods. It was also handicapped accessible and perfect for my elderly parents with a ramp and a lift chair.

Drove in from SW Florida to visit state park, wineries and to explore the area. Such a beautiful area and it had been a few years since the last visit. Came across this amazing spot. Could not had asked for more! Very busy time due to deer hunting season, golf and so on but Tom, the owner, was very welcoming and extremely accommodating. We stayed in a little rv that was plenty spacious enough for the two of us. Including a kitchen, dining area, bedroom, bathroom, and pullout sofa. Along with a fire pit out front grill also and many acres of land to roam. There's a large pond with canoes that

Tom was absolutely a great host. We spent 4 wonderful days there watching the eclipse. He loaded our gear on the golf cart and took us to the best viewing spot on earth. We swam in with pond with all the critters and paddled the canoe. This is truly a wonderful secluded get away. The only thing I would change is to bring more bug spray. Thanks Tom. You are an angel. The outside of this cabin is beautiful!! The water is a clear blue and the fishing was great. We caught a lot of big bluegill and bass...nothing over a 1.5 lb though. The whole cabin, inside and out, and very spacious and private. The owner, Tom, was a very nice guy and brought us plenty of firewood for the whole week. I rate this cabin as 3 stars because of the cleanliness and the decor. The master bedroom with carpet had a lot of stains. The decor is very outdated. 3 of the pinball machines didn't work which was a bummer because we were super excited to play them all. Make sure you bring quarters

We stayed there twice last summer and had a great time! We didn't have to worry about bringing cookware, as the kitchen was stocked with what we needed! The cabin was clean and had a full size washer and dryer that we were able to use. It is very close to Castle Park and Giant City State Park. Tom was very helpful. He even let my son borrow one of his movies! We are looking forward to going again this year!

There is a paddleboat, canoe, and kayak on the beach, as well as the large boat in the photo. The large boat is fun for the kids to play
