I was looking for a new look and strolled down the street from my home to Glance. They were so helpful and I actually ended up buying a pair of glasses that were much funkier and fun then I might've purchased elsewhere. Great service. Great quality. Received the glasses on time. A little spendy so save up. It's worth it!

Glance Optics has interesting and fun frames that you don't see elsewhere. Don't buy glasses from them unless you are prepared to pay premium prices. Their customer service is not the best. I was told that the reason my sun glasses didn't fit properly was because I bought the cheapest frames (they were on sale for about $350.00) and not the best lenses.

The eyeglasses market is inundated right now with low-priced low-quality plastic frames and conglomerates like Luxottica. It's hard to find a shop that specializes in high quality, small batch, handmade unique frames with a personal touch of excellent customer service. I remember a time when Portland had quite a few nice niche eyeglass shops, but they have disappeared. I felt so lucky to find Glance Optics. My puppy found my glasses!!! I found my glasses in my puppy's mouth with one lens already popped out and chew marks on the frame. They were my favorite, pretty much one of a kind, frame. I brought them to Glance to see if they could be saved. I picked them up the next day polished, repaired and fitting perfectly! The staff was incredibly helpful and gracious. They did not charge me and said that it was part of the package of purchasing frames from them. That kind of customer service will bring me back with confidence!

I have been purchasing eyewear at Glance for more years than I care to remember! Lisa and her team are simply the best at what they do. They carry the most artistic frames and the best quality lenses I've found. Because my eyesight is so terrible, it is difficult for me to choose frames. I trust Lisa completely to tell me honestly which frames look good and which do not. I also appreciate her willingness to push me just a little bit to experiment and play with my image. The result has been years of delightful art for my face and quality optics for my eyes!

EXTREMELY disappointed! Found the frames of my dreams, got so many compliments and paid only a small fraction under $1000, to only have the frame be faulty and the glasses break after a year of owning them!
Hoping the owner would stand behind the frames, she offers me a new frame TO PURCHASE for a small amount of another $500.00!
There are a lot of unique frames Glance offers but to pay that amount of money, and mind you they do not take insurance, and have them break after a year, and then only offer me to pay for another frame to purchase. It is not about the money, but the principal! Stand

I've had nothing but good experiences at Glance. The frames are not cheap but they are high quality and Glance stands behind them. Customer service could not be better, on my initial visit the gentleman spent close to an hour finding just the right frames for me and I love them. Subsequent visits for adjustments or screw replacements have been easy and pleasant. Highly recommended.

This is a great way to get your glasses - a breeze - and you come out looking great. These people are true professionals in guiding you to the perfect frames to compliment your appearance. The lenses are so light you hardly know the glasses are on your face. It is totally worth the investment. Like permanent eye makeup and a face lift for me in my 60's.

First let me say this is the most expensive Eyeglass and optic place I've ever been in my life the price of their frames even though they're very nice are outrageously overcharged and their prices for their lenses are way over charged be willing to throw down 700 to maybe $1,000 for a pair of glasses and maybe more.
So if you're super rich and don't mind throwing money away this will be a fun place to go throw it away .Yes the customer service is good but not that good for that price.

I don't know of anyone who wants to wear glasses but when it came time for me to make that decision, I am glad I found Glance. When you walk in you immediately feel at home and are given time to browse. You never feel pressured about making a decision and when you do try the frame on they are honest about whether it looks good on you. The customer service doesn't stop after you make that purchase because they will take care of your glasses whenever it is needed and I so appreciate that. I would recommend Glance to anyone and I thank them for making me comfortable that I wear glasses!

If I could give Glance Optics and Eyewear zero stars I would. Quite simply I will never ever do business there nor will I ever recommend anyone to do business there. I stopped in the other day looking for a replacement screw for my sunglasses as the small screw that holds the arm to the front had stripped out. I have my own set of small screwdrivers and it's a basic, no-brainer repair, so all I needed was a small screw, when in fact I did get screwed. When I pleasantly asked the woman behind the counter if they had any spare screws for my glasses, which I would happily pay for, thinking it

I was in salem recently for the BMW MOA motorcycle rally. I live in Wisconsin. One of the nose pieces fell off my glasses. Knowing that they were designer frames, I knew better than t go to Walmart or Costco. We found an independent eye doctor and went there. they didn't have what I needed but called Glance. They had what I needed. We rode down there, walked in and they replaced both nose pieces with new "prima donna" nose pads. yes they have a special name. ( I won't tell you what my husband said!) They were replaced at no charge. Thanks

The enthusiasm to assist in finding the right frame for you abounds at Glance. They are very nice and fun to work with; they care about your eye wear needs. If you time it correctly and have the time to match schedules, you'd probably be able to meet up with a frame rep who has many more frames to view besides the great selection already in both locations.
Pricey; yes, because all eye wear is that way these days.

Today I picked up my new glasses at Glance and I am delighted. They are even better than I remembered. Lisa helped me pick them out. She answered all of my questions and helped me find just the right glasses for my face. What I really like is the wide range of styles from which to choose.
