David Stewart graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1981 and joined the family business building custom homes in 1983. David later studied Real Estate at North Idaho College to further his career as a General Contractor and Real Estate Developer.

The single largest purchase (investment) the vast majority of consumers make is a home. Breathing radon in your home can cause lung cancer. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas released in rock, soil and water that can build up to dangerous levels inside any home; this means new and old homes, well sealed and drafty homes, and homes with or without a basement. Radon gas is odorless and invisible and the only way to know if your home has a radon problem is to test for it.

Stewart home inspection was great. Very responsive, and was very prompt in scheduling. The owner had me scheduled the next day. The inspector was very professional and identified a few problems the the seller didn't even know about. I would recommend Stewart certified home inspection to anyone I know looking to by a home.

New construction inspection. David was professional, thorough, and went above and beyond to deliver an excellent experience. He not only walked us through the entire report, but answered other questions we had about various things on the property. He was at the house early, and stayed through a full review and then some. Smart and experienced, knows his stuff, but humble enough to say “I don’t know” when he didn’t. Highly recommended.

David conducted a thorough, detailed inspection of a prospective home and successfully identified several issues — ultimately influencing my decision to not purchase the home. He does not leave any stones unturned and, to the extent of his abilities and knowledge, will go over any questions or concerns you may have. First and foremost, I must say I highly recommend David Stewart to anyone that needs an inspector. He is extremely professional and has a lifetime of experience in construction, making him a profoundly gifted inspector.
During the inspection of my newly constructed home, David found many issues that I would have likely missed on my own. My husband and I used Stewart Certified Home Inspections for our first home buying experience. Not only does he go above and beyond for you but he is extremely helpful with any information you may need. Dave was very fast and efficient. He has over 30 years of experience just in the constitution industry. Who better to trust to inspect your future home than someone who has been doing this line of work, and actually cares about your wants and needs. Not to mention the value is excellent. He immediately reached out to the necessary parties to get the inspection done, within our time frame. Dave is very thorough, and very professional.
