Dunton Woodworking is a full service facility located in Santa Cruz, California. We service the greater Bay Area providing a wide range of services including custom cabinets and furniture along with specializing in architectural millwork, including reproduction and matching of existing designs. Danny Dunton's wood career began at an early age working and playing in the family construction business.
Kitchens and bathrooms are the defining rooms in your home, a reflection of your design aesthetic as well as being the most utilized and therefore functionally important rooms. The creation of a new kitchen or bath is one of the most rewarding experiences, but the process can be complex and if unfamiliar, stressful.
As a dedicated artist, wood furniture opened up the opportunity to expand the stroke of Danny's paintbrush to a three dimensional medium for which his decades in the woodshed made him uniquely adept. A continued passion, Danny's furniture designs are distinctly unique, reflecting his unique perspective while paying homages to the the designers who inspire him.

From ornate, traditional Victorians to sleek modern designs, we specialize in custom designing moldings and trims that reflect the aesthetic of the design of your home or business. Our shop is equipped for scaling up or down to build both small custom designs to large scale projects.

My husband and I were completing a top-to-bottom remodel of our home in Santa Cruz and our contractor suggested Danny and his team for our custom cabinetry. Danny was super receptive to our wants and needs. He was lock-step with us and our contractor throughout the whole process.
He participated in solving design challenges to help us maximize our space. What a find Danny was! As an OCD architect and designer, I am always looking for top professionals who are METICULOUS with detail, responsive and follow up with clients if there are any issues....Danny embodies this and SO much more. His entire team is a joy to work with, and all bring a different gift to the table.
