These hardy folks followed the Great Wagon Road from Pennsylvania and neighboring Virginia, spreading throughout the region on the east side of the great and mysterious Blue Ridge Mountains.Many of these settlers began to arrive here in the mid-1700's and began their first settlement communities.

To say the Airstream Compound (as we dubbed it) was nice, clean, and well-maintained does not do it justice. Everything was first class and pristine. It is a 30ft Airstream Classic (Limited) under a pavilion plus a bath house. The hospitality of the owners was amazing, including the fresh bread (with butter and Bon Maman preserves!) on arrival.
Beautiful large lot on a burbling creek with fields and woods for our dogs to run, and a 4wd trail that made for a challenging hike. Very restful and a great place to unwind.

We love this cabin and of course Bob and Gail are amazing!! Being able to disconnect from the world is so nice.. no cell service or wifi is a plus, plus for us. Being able to take off on a long walk and enjoy the peace an quiet of nature without any road noise is great too. Bob and Gail have went out of their way to make this a paradise away from home. When we arrived there was fresh bread cooking. This was our second vacation here at Daisy Creek and it was just as nice as our first. Dog friendly so that is a plus for us as well. We cant wait till our next visit !!! This was our 1st couples vacation

Bob and Gail are amazing hosts, cabin is clean and absolutely beautiful! We actually had snow, which turned this little cabin into a winter wonderland. When we arrived we could smell fresh bread baking, Gail had butter and jam waiting. One of the best cabins we visited, owners really outdid themselves. Definitely coming back! Thank you for everything ❤

What a wonderful, place to unwind and disconnect! My husband and I needed to just escape for a few days and we found the perfect spot. Our stay at Rocky Bottom cabin was just what the doctor ordered. With no internet or cell service, we spent more time talking and just being together. Although the weather didn't allow me to sit by the pond every day, we did enjoy sitting on the covered deck watching the thunderstorms and the rain on the roof at lulled us to sleep. Bob and Gail were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the homemade bread that was

We enjoyed our 4 day stay at Rocky Bottom Cabin. Everything you could possibly need or want was provided, so many little touches that truly made you feel right at home! The cabin is adorably decorated and the furnishings incredibly comfortable. Bob & Gail provided great information on things to do in the area and wonderful conversation. We took advantage of many recommendations; the Mountain View restaurant was delicious and the drive to Little Switzerland showcased the beautiful autumn colors. We had a wonderful time here celebrating our anniversary at the Daisy's Creek cabin. Gail and Bob were very gracious hosts. From the moment we got there, everything was perfect. The cabin was immaculate, the views were amazing, the bread was delicious. The kitchen truly had everything we could have possibly needed and more. We enjoyed just being able to sit and relax without the interruption of cell phones or internet... out of the upper deck, on the patio on the swing and rocking chairs, in front of the fire by the creek. The perfect place to get away from the "rat race". This was our second stay in the past 4 months and we have plans to go again. The cabin is beautifully built and has everything that you need for the perfect stay. Whether sitting by the fire next to the creek or on the second story covered porch, listening to the sounds of the creek and birds, you can feel your soul and mind rejuvenate and your stress melt away. Bob and Gail are the nicest people and they have thought of everything to make your stay most enjoyable.
