You can choose to spend the day exploring Hendersonville and it's many sites and sounds as well shopping in Black Mountain where you will find numerous quaint arts and crafts galleries.
Chimney Rock State Park is one of the most noticeable attractions in the Hickory Nut Gorge. The gigantic park is comprised of 4,531 acres and features hiking trails, the Devil's Head balancing rock, and the 315 monolith rock formation. Hickory Nut Falls, the 404 foot waterfall is also found in the park.
