Services
The mission of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club is to encourage and support yachting, and provide a comfortable social environment for our members and guests, while preserving and enhancing the Club's traditions and prestige. St. Petersburg's city fathers had ambitious plans for their commercial docks: create waterfront parks and a yacht club!
Encompassing over 120 wet slips across three full-service marinas, an internationally acclaimed youth racing team, and one of the most active sailing facilities in the country, the St. Petersburg Yacht Club's waterfront is truly one of a kind. Great views and outdoor seating options. Love the servers in the tiki bar area. The club’s commitment to sailing and boating in the area is second to none. We always see people we know at the club when we go which makes it fun. Our kids are on the junior sailing race team and have made lots of new friends and learned a sport that gets them out in nature and away from screens. Great club!

I have lived in St, Petersburg/Clearwater since 1994 and this was the very first time I had stepped foot inside. I was actually working a banquet event. The place is huge and quite cozy. It has a pretty large pool and many rooms to rent or just relax and do your thing. I most definitely will be watching for more events to work in the future.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Before I say anything more, want to be clear that it seemed like the waiter(Alex) and waitress at the end were both genuinely awesome nice and friendly people who also seemed to be the only two staff dealing with a lot of work and people. Lastly want to note that I very very rarely ever leave bad reviews, as my history on here reflects.
That being said this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had from what I'm assuming is an "upscale" nice place, I mean its a yacht club.
All starts with the fact I'm allergic to gluten, I have Celiac Disease. When I asked

We are new members and heard that, in the past, the food was hit and miss. Those days are definitely over. The food now is excellent. The Caesar salad is exceptional as the dressing used, from a special recipe, is great. The lobster rolls are as good as lobster rolls from Maine. The bulgogi dish is the best this side of the Korean Peninsula. The seared scallops are perfectly cooked. On top of that, the Club has a spectacular drink menu with a large group of martinis to sample and speciality drinks that are very reasonably priced. All in all, it is now one of the best restaurants in town

A great place to work. The members are incredible. It's like one big family. I worked at large hotels and resorts and smaller hotels, I've worked at small mom-and-pop places and small catering companies. But the Saint Pete Yacht Club is like working for family. Great place to work great benefits. And the food is incredible.

While this waterfront yacht club is perfectly positioned and decorated, the chef needs to walk the proverbial plank with the food.
I have enjoyed the privilege of attending several events here. I truly appreciate the tradition and olde world nautical decor. The old decor is clearly high end so it doesnt look as dated as it otherwise would. The Club is always impressively dressed on the inside for Christmas. The appeal ends there.
The Yacht Club gets 4 stars for decor but 2 stars for food.
Habitually, the food here ranges from boring to awful and the menu offerings are as old as the club median

The St. Pete Yacht Club played host to our club's annual convention. Beautiful location, service is top notch. Would recommend this location to anyone looking to host an event. We used the Regatta room and the ballroom. For dinner we had the option of mahi mahi, chicken florentine, and prime rib. I had the mahi mahi and it was outstanding, came with a mango sauce and some squash. Yum.

I was born and raised in St. Pete, and my parents have been members for decades. Every time I come home we go to the Yacht club at some point. If St. Pete is Gods waiting room, the Yacht Club is the departure lounge. I'm 54 and I feel like the youngest person in the room. Unless you own a boat, I have never understood the attraction or the high ratings. The food is mediocre, as is the norm for things like country clubs were part of the membership is a monthly "use it or lose it" charge for food and drinks. Imagine if an industrial kitchen like Sodexo food services ran a dining room

I've been at this property twice for work meetings/lunch.
The building occupies prime waterfront real estate and has a variety of atmospheres from casual nautical themed meeting rooms to a comfy dark bar to an upscale dining room.
5 stars for the meeting rooms experiences I've had here, 2 stars for the lunch buffet at the Grille 1909. Both times I've eaten here the lunch buffet offerings have felt poorly thought out - a random collection of food - and not very good. I have no idea what the buffet costs but if it's more than $6, it's too much. The 'salad bar&apos

Loved having lunch here overlooking the water and sailboats. The wait staff were very attentive. We sat on the patio as we had a dog with is and they brought a bowl of water for her!
I ordered a vegetarian meal, hummus and avocado pita which was pretty yummy. I added Dijon mustard. It came with a choice of side and I had the sweet potato fries. My fiancé had the lobster roll which was also very good.
The food, service, and view were outstanding! We will be back :)

I have sailed several regattas out of the St Pete Sailing Center hosed by the Yacht Club. I enjoying sailing Tampa Bay for the Challenge, and the sailing center has excellent facilities. The race management is a bit restrictive to the point that they forget that sailing should be fun. They do follow the rules though, and are competent and provide fair racing, but I do thing they should allow late registrations, as it doesn't affect the fairness of the racing and promotes participation from those who can come at the last minute.
I think they charge a bit much for the regattas given there are
