Moreau Catholic High School
Family Being Family is one of the pillars of a Mariner education, and our compassionate and supportive environment is a hallmark of a Holy Cross school. Hope Through faith and service, we facilitate the formation of a moral conscious so that individuals who face complex ethical issues throughout their lives are prepared to make good moral judgements.

Respect We nurture dignity and respect for religious and cultural diversity through rallies, clubs, prayer, liturgical celebrations, retreats, and community service. For those who live by faith, the cross is a treasure more valuable than gold and precious stones.-

Highlight of working at MCHS: Meeting new people, and working around such friendly people each day. Highlight of working at MCHS: I have a great time in the classroom; actual highlights would be too many to list! Highlight of working at MCHS: Our boys won the 2011 NCS DII Golf Championship.

Having the pleasure to work with that group of dedicated young men-and their wonderful families-will always remind me why sports are a vital component of higher education. Was certified as an Oral Proficiency Interview rater by the American Council on the Teaching Foreign Language and implemented OPI and Written Proficiency Tests into Moreau's curriculum and evaluation.

Please contact Ann Khristine Tabora at 510-881-4353 or atabora@moreaucatholic.org for retreat chaperoning opportunities. Site Services works in conjunction with all departments of the school to keep the facility in good working order and create a pleasant environment for student learning.
Moreau Catholic students are expected to complete summer math review work to prepare them for the next course. All summer packets should be completed by the first day of school. Just like any sport or musical instrument, reading skills must be practiced in order to stay sharp and improve, and reading for pleasure is one of the best exercises a student can do for her or his brain!
Thank you for your interest in our Mariner family, where students embark upon an amazing journey of discovery, learning, new friendships, and transformational experiences. As Holy Cross educators, we are committed to developing the whole student through academic, social, and spiritual learning experiences.
Moreau Catholic High School is a compassionate community of caring, dedicated and visionary academic leaders tirelessly committed to transforming our students into game changers. Our inclusive, innovative and personalized approach encourages our students to find their voice and prepares them to confidently take on college and the world.

This school is fast to give you their back if your child has health/mental issues. I guess they don't want to gain a bad reputation! Even though this School drugs problems is Major.
They pretend is Non existen! One of ny child graduated from here and it was the worst mistake I ever did! I will think twice sending any loved one Here!
They just hide in their catholic beliefs but they don't act on what they preached!

This school has to be the most hopelessly overpriced, time wasting, badly managed, unspeakably frustrating, excruciatingly disappointing school that I have ever sent my kids to. Please save your child from unnecessary stress and stay as far away from this place as humanly possible.

Graduated from Moreau literally 6 months ago and I feel like college is a breeze. While my time at Moreau had its ups and downs, Moreau definitely prepared me for college. My time management improved a lot and I got into most of the colleges I applied to! I'll agree that the first couple years I was there, administration for sure had favorites for the athletes, coming from someone who wasn't an athlete but had friends who were, but my junior and senior year and even visiting this year, I've noticed that there has been quite an improvement with the favoritism! I love the direction this school is going. The school has modernized and is offering a 21 at century education. They respond to the needs of the times and the students. This is the way schools need to move. Bravo admin. Keep it going.

It's been about 3.5 years since I wrote my original review of Moreau Catholic High School. I wrote the original review within the first or second month of my son attending the school. Now both my son and daughter attend and I have a good knowledge of most of the sports, activities, clubs, teachers, faculty, etc.

Overall our experience has been top notch, it truly is the best High School in South Alameda County. We have been so pleased with the staff and faculty and we have seen such a renovation boom with new the sports field, bleachers, sound system, scoreboard, etc. They've modernized

My daughter attended Public School in Bay Area from k-8. She was a good student and always on top of her class. Being a good and A student she naturally got lot of attention from her dedicated teachers. But she was not facing challenge or competition from other students. After she graduated from Middle School decided to enroll her in Moreau Catholic High School, Hayward, CA, where I knew she will get challenge from students who are smarter than her. My daughter had to go through their rigorous admission test and fortunately she got admission.

In her freshman year she took Drama as extracurricular

Both my husband and I were determined to send our kids to public schools. They started out in a public elementary school in the Fremont School District, and needless to say, we were sorely disappointed. We both were hard-working, tax paying citizens that didn't have the energy to constantly battle for the educational rights of our children. That is when we decided that our kids were the priority and we wanted something better for them.

Moreau Catholic High School is an excellent private school that treats parents as partners and strives to develop the spiritual, social and academic growth

This is probably the only thing my dad forced me to do that I am extremely grateful for. I came from Ochoa Middle School and had none of my friends were going to attend Moreau. I hated it for almost maybe a month and then I fell in love with my classmates, the teachers and the opportunities that it offered me. I probably would not have turned into the polite, well-educated woman I am today if it were not for Moreau. The teachers are amazing and actually CARE about their students. The majority of the students are genuinely nice. This school takes care of their students like no other. At times

As an alumni of this school, I have reason to believe the education here isn't worth the money now. It could be worse in other places. Then again that was 4 years ago. But for the Catholic school environment, its alright. They're expanding the library and finally creating a drop-off zone in the front of the school. So I guess its on the upside right now.

Haha. I just yelped my own high school.

College prep? I graduated in 2003 and 4 years later I'm STILL in college. :(

No, no, but really.. Although I complained every bit of the way of my 4 years at Moreau, I still wish I could do it all over again and had more fun. I'm not saying I didn't have fun, but I wish I could've had fun with the academic side too.. if that's possible? :)

Honestly, I'd probably have my kids go to this school.. & if they're anything like me, in doing so, I'd have to drag them there.

I'm actually a proud product of the Hayward Unified School District (read: public school - YES, I went to Mt. Eden, AND went to college, AND I work at a top-ranked networking company... so yes, some of us public school kids actually do make it out of this town ;D), but I used to come here and buy a dime sack on my lunch breaks at least once or twice a month.

Good Catholic school indeed.

I went to public school all the way up until high school, when my parents sent me to Moreau Catholic. While I was getting almost straight A's in the public schools, I ended up with a B- average overall here. Just imagine, with those straight A's, I could have gotten into a better university. Then again, I might have been left unprepared, and would have gotten kicked out anyways. In the end, everything worked out for the better.

Moreau Catholic prides itself on being a college prep institution, so most of the courses are set up in that manner. The classes are pretty rigid, but the curriculum
