Palliative care provides relief from pain and symptoms for pediatric patients while assisting parents to address the emotional impacts of caring for a child with complex health needs.

Coastal Kids Home Care--California's only non-profit pediatric home health agency--has provided more than 70,000 in-home visits to more than 9,000 children. After more than two decades as a pediatric nurse, Margy Mayfield knew what children living with serious-illness most wanted - to simply be home.

Our infant son was in the Stanford NICU and PICU for a long time and needed nursing to come home. We were offered three nursing agencies to choose from, and so glad we chose Coastal Kids. They were able to staff our home with amazing nurses so we could discharge from the hospital on time. We are elated with the quality of nurses who are taking care of son, who is currently on respiratory and feeding support. It is a wonderful feeling to relax after so long in the hospital. Many thanks to the team at Coastal Kids!

Coastal Kids Home Care is California's only nonprofit pediatric home health care agency for kids with cancer and other serious illness. I have had the privilege of working for them as the Outreach Specialist for the past 2 years. It is a FANTASTIC organization and I feel lucky to work for such an awesome place. They care so much about the people that come into their lives. Whether it is the kids and their families, or their employees, Coastal Kids is a family that I am happy to be apart of!
