I have stayed at several places during my recovery period, and I have felt strongly the need to write to compliment the staff at Westview for your exceptional help during my climbing toward the ability to walk again and to take care of myself as formerly I could. My goal has not been realized yet, for I am at home now working with physical therapy options and attempting to get back in shape. My husband is now my care-giver and trying his best to assist me in every way he can.
I wanted to mention the names of specific people, who helped me, Cole Wilson, Jenny Livingston

Please be careful leaving anything with your loved ones here at this facility. If it is of value someone from the staff will steal it. Then when you go to administrators no one calls you back and when they do. They say that they not responsible for personal items. Especially phone or tablets.

Have known at least two nurses that have been employed here with substance abuse problems. New administrator, Brent Williams is not consistent, coordinated, nor professional. Highly discourage sending a loved one here.

This institution is very poorly managed and without care for its patients. Not allowing visitors on the weekend when that’s the only available time to visit for people who are employed full time is absurd! Additionally, requiring an appointment to visit a loved one is not only inconvenient, but asinine. I called today (Aug.14) and was offered an appointment for Aug.25! My family member could be dead by then! Makes me wonder what they’re hiding in there. Perhaps this is one of the reasons this institution is only a three-star rated facility. It is the responsibility of the establishment to post

My sister was taken to the facility in May. I know with the virus they have to shut down to keep residents safe. I receive a call about every other week telling me someone has tested positive, and usually it a staff member. I am my sisters only family and never am informed of health issues arising. She had a severe UTI that she had to have shots because it was so bad. She has had an internal bleeding that they refuse to take her to the hospital to find out what the problem is and now she has injured her shoulder while there and may need surgery and no one bothers to call family members. I am an employee of Westview Healthcare Center and have been working in the facility only a few months. During my time here the teammates at the facility have been caring, professional, and teamwork focused. They demonstrate a love for the residents and their fellow workers in an atmosphere that is comfortable and fun. I also see improvement everyday at Westview. I love it here.

DO NOT take your loved one to this facility. We were promised my husband's care would exceed our expectations. We were concerned of a fall since he had a tendency to climb out of bed at night but Westview reassured us this could not and would NOT happen. The very first night after he was admitted It Westview I got a call that he was on his way to ER because he fell and cut his head open. Since he is on blood thinners this could be life threatening if left unattended. Luckily he survived even through their carelessness.
He had physical therapy at Westview which was one of their positive programs

Stay away from this place if you want quality care for your loved one. I could write volumes on all of the negatives but to sum it all up, they do not take good care of their patients. We were totally misled by Jennine (the customer service director or whatever she is) that swore he would have the best care possible and that she wouldn't hesitate to put her own grandmother in this facility. One of the biggest concerns I had was my husband had a tendency to try to get out of bed at night time. Since he is unable to walk or stand by himself this could be very dangerous (especially since

One thing you can be sure of if you stay at Westview is that your personal property will have diminished from when you checked in. After surgery on my left foot Kaiser Sacramento I was sent to Westview in Auburn to recover. When I checked in I had a nice black travel bag that I use on vacations. After two days I was transfered to a single room 408 and though they emptied the travel bag they didn't send it to my new room. I mentioned several times to Cameron the head of social services along with the fact that former roommate told them 3 times that the travel bag was mine.

People can say what they will about Westview; they may remember back when this was a place called Hilltop Manor, and they are not to be confused with one another. In October of 2019, both of my parents ended up here.

First off, there is PLENTY of staff on hand. The place was constantly buzzing with way more staff than residents, which is a VERY good thing to encounter. Also, most of the staff that I spoke to was nice. And my parents reported that they were well cared for. The staff weren't just putting on a show for family members.

Second, since my parents have been discharged, I have had

If there were more stars to give in this review, I would rate this wonderful facility accordingly! I cannot praise this nursing home and its staff enough! My sister has only been there for 2 months and the improvements she has made because of the care she receives there is remarkable! My sister has dementia and before entering this nursing home, she only wanted to sleep all day and was very non-communicative. She had lost a lot of weight and I believed her to be at the very end of her life. In these passed 2 months, she has gained 13 pounds and is so much more sociable! It may not sound like

I feel like I have to share our experience for others safety. My mother was at West View after falling. The hospital is very short handed and cannot supply equipment, much of it is broken or old. There are a few CNAs that are good but, what my mother experience was neglect and mocking. I did put in a couple of written grievances with the Social Service Dept. with no results. If you have a love one that is bedridden it is not a place for them. My mother was left in bed for hours and not being helped into her chair missing therapy. A couple of times left in bed all day and not being changed laying

This is a top notch establishment. The leadership is the best. Mr. Pratt is a very caring man. I would highly recommend Westview to anyone in Auburn needing physical therapy or nursing care.

I want to thank the entire staff that assisted me during my stay at Westview. Without their constant encouragement and care I don't know if I could have maintained the positive attitude necessary to heal and move forward at the pace that I did. I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for the attention and professional treatment that I experienced.
If you are ever in need of a nursing or rehab facility, I recommend that you request to be sent where you will be well taken care of. Thank you again to the Westview Team.

Was Westview perfect, no, but Westview was the only nursing facility that would accept my husband. His medical needs were so extensive that other facilities wouldn't accept him as a patient. Westview not only accepted him, but his care was excellent, not perfect but excellent. For 2 1/2 years, they worked with me hand-in-hand with my husband's care. The staff and support personnel on station 4 was caring and efficient at their job. If they weren't, they didn't last long. The staff was overwhelmed at times when the floor gets busy. We all have days like that.

With my church I travel up and down the state. As I've gotten older I see that many of the members of our congregation frequent nursing homes. One of our church members picked Westview for rehabilitation after they fell in Grass Valley.

I visited on a Sunday. The place was clean and quiet. I was pleased to see that she had her own room. The staff was very friendly and courteous.
Most of the other patients seemed happy there.

I was most impressed with customer service. At least 10 people asked if I needed any assistance. One even showed me where her room was.

No complaints here
