Great corned beef and pastrami. If you take it home, be sure to heat the meat. I reheat in toaster oven for 7 minutes at 355 degrees. Otherwise, cold fat on the meat is not appetizing. Great rye bread and potato latkes.

I had the hot pastrami with swiss cheese on a hoagie roll, coleslaw on the side. Unbelievably good!!!! I will be back. I recommend this deli highly. Run don't walk, get there. You will not regret it.

The atmosphere was less than friendly. We did not feel welcome. The staff was not attentive, and seemed put out about answering questions about the pastries. The potato pancakes left a lot to be desired; they tasted more like fried mashed potatoes. The blueberry pancakes were huge, but good. The coffee was good. Management was meh. The only people who seemed pleasant were the hostess who seated us and the young lady who check us out at the to-go counter. We will not be going back.

I’ve been going to this deli for over 15 years. We went today and Jessica was our server. She was incredibly rude. We paid and left before finishing our food. Will not be back bc of her.
PS. She should consider wearing a mask when serving food. There’s currently a pandemic.

Excellent & prompt customer service at this bustling one-stop shop for deli items from sliced, fresh rye bread loaves, bagels, lox, tomato, capers, pickles, and onions to schmears, meats, cheeses, chopped liver, seafood, shrimp, and whitefish salads. Additionally, there is a seemingly endless assortment of delicious cakes, cookies, coffee, and a variety of chocolate-dipped pretzels and much, much more!

I stopped by Hymie's this evening to buy chicken soup.

As I waited for it, I saw a young man who worked behind the take take-out counter transferring soup from a large plastic, industrial looking bucket to take out quart containers.

The staff member, using ungloved hands, was dipping a very large measuring cup into this bucket and transferring soup to take-out containers.

He would dip the measuring cup in, fill the container, drop the measuring cup back into the bucket, snap the top on the take-out container, and then retrieve the measuring cup from inside the bucket to

Hymie's has been a favorite for decades! I first discovered it while working in the area. I try to get there every other month or so; it's a bit out of the way for me. The food is high quality authentic Jewish delicatessen fare. You can't go wrong with the pastrami on rye. All the sandwiches are loaded with meat. The pickle bar is always fresh and fully stocked. They have a niece selection of freshly baked goods and treats alongside the restaurant.
Go to Hymie's, you won't be disappointed.

It's one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots, I don't know why I didn't review it earlier!

They have really great breakfast foods and a pickle bar(used to have pasta salad and sauerkraut too), they refurnished the whole place since last year and pickle bar was closed because of Covid! I am glad they reopened it again!

Kinda sad they removed the mix-mash soup from the menu:( it was my favorite!

Great to go back after more than a year. The chicken soup with matzo ball was good, but slightly bland. But the tongue sandwich on rye with Hymie's mustard is outstanding!!!

I hoped to get lox & bagel on Wednesday, but disappointingly found my local deli closed for the day. I was consequently elated, then, when we unexpectedly found ourselves on the Main Line yesterday. Didn't know where to get brunch, but found Hymie's herein. My partner got The Gantzer Knaker (corned beef special) and shared a bite, which I enjoyed. I got The Schlepper (whitefish salad on bagel); I can't recall enjoying brunch more that this or having better whitefish salad; I think, in fact, it's the best I've ever had - and I've had lots. Can't wait to try

First time visiting Hymie's but it certainly won't be my last. I had chicken matzo ball soup and a corned beef and pastrami sandwich. The soup was good but the sandwich was amazing!! The service was fast and friendly. In and out in 30mins for dine in service at lunch. They have a large selection of baked goods that I'm looking forward to trying the next time I visit.

Food might be good ... but the customer service is nonexistent!!! Now I understand how difficult things are due to COVID...but at what point is this not going to be the catch all excuse??

I called to see if they were open due to the pandemic and just because some businesses take summer days off. When I heard the recording I still pressed 1 to speak to someone to make sure...
"Hello just wanted to make sure you were open" Oh yes we are! Thank you!!
Arrive at 2:45 only to be told we are not open for service anymore no staff!!! This is in front of a sign that clearly states

I’ve dined at Hymie’s in years prior and enjoyed the experience. However, this trip was unfortunately disappointing.
I ordered a Guacamole Veggie Burger with lettuce, onion and tomato. When I arrived home with my take out order, I saw that I had received only a burger and a bun with no toppings or sauce. The side of sweet potato fries were also slightly burnt. The veggie burger on its own has an okay flavor.
Additionally, the Google listing for the open hours is inaccurate, which was a bit confusing.
As restaurants begin to reopen to regular service, it’s understandable that there may

Hymies is a true Jewish deli with the best matzo ball soup. When you are feeling ill (which I was when this was ordered for me) this is definitely the cure. Also, the have the biggest deli sandwiches ever! The Ruben is always a go to choice when going to any proper Jewish deli and they definitely do not disappoint.

This spot was cool place! They had cute napkins, menus, and decorations. The amount of food you get is worth the money! Gluten free bagel option and fries were so crispy!! Everything was really good :)

We got to Hymie's right at it's lunch rush, so the cashier line was long and it was unclear where we should go to order takeout. The staff was helpful and friendly, showing us how to maneuver to where we could place orders.

The Gantzer Knaker (corned beef special) was terrific--such well-made rye bread--and the Best of Both Worlds (corned beef and pastrami reuben) was piping hot, especially great because we ate outside on the sidewalk in the 37°F snow flurry (they do not have an outdoor dining area) due to COVID-19. Each sandwich came with a little container of potato salad and a quarter

I got takeout from Hymie's for the first time and was excited to see what it was all about. Firstly, I didn't know how much was offered - tons of cookies and refrigerated prepared items as well as all their hot food. Yes!

I had just come from the dentist, so I needed soft foods. I got a potato knish and mushroom barley soup. The staff was super nice, which is a great bonus. The soup was okay - I loved that they had a vegetarian option and it had a bit of heat to it. The knish was really yummy - I didn't realize how much I missed eating them until I dug in. Think: mashed potatoes

I really wanted to love Hymie's because I heard very good things about them from the food bloggers and honestly it wasn't the food that was the problem. It was the customer service, well towards me at least. It seems if you are a regular you get a little more tended to. I walked in and not even a simple "welcome in". Then I roamed their display counters for a bit and no one addressed me asking if I needed help & I get it we're in a pandemic, but there was only me and two other people in the store so I'm not gonna chalk up the non existent customer service to that

It's very good! Hymie's is a deli specializing in delicious sandwiches, soups, breakfast food and much more.

I came to Hymie's and it was pretty crowded but service moved fast. Once it bacame time to order, I decided to get the shlemiel and a side of ruben fries.

My food was ready in less than 15 minutes. My sandwich consisted of turkey, russian dressing, cole slaw and a pickle on the side. It was huge and flavorful. The ruben fries were also crispy with so much cheese, it could actually stand alone as a meal in itself.

Overall I paid about 20.00 for some deliciousness and It

I was in the Philly for the weekend and all I could think about was a great night pastrami sandwhich. My friend’s aunt recommended this place to me and let me tell you it was one of the best deli’s I’ve ever been to. It’s rare to find old, traditional Jewish delis, as everywhere you go every great local place is being replaced by chain stores. I loved the atmosphere and how the store was set up. We waited about 10 minutes to sit down, but in the meantime we had a chance to look at their store and the fresh deli market they have inside. They have a complimentary salad and pickle bar, which
