The fries are extremely salty and unedible. When I contacted the place, I was told that's how the fries are. Are u kidding me?! You can't even eat them! Will never order again from here. I was asked to cut to the chase? Oh what do u want a new order? Really?! Instead of apologizing and checking in on the cook to see how much seasoning he is using. Offended much? Positive criticism should always be valued n used as a learning experience so that u don't push customers away. CUT BACK ON THE SEASONING!

Cheesesteaks we’re the BEST in the area no question but apparently something changed w the company because they’re now the WORST in the area . I could make better cheesesteaks in my house ! Needs to go back to how it used to be. Only reason this gets 2 stars is because the breakfast sandwiches are still pretty decent . That’s it though !!

Sometimes you just crave the classics. Here is an oven roasted turkey hoagie from @carmens_deli_nj and the Bellmawr location. As I mentioned, oven roasted turkey, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, and vinegar on a @del_buonos_nj roll. Doesn't get much simpler and better than that for a hoagie. Meat cut sandwich thin, no shortage of fresh crispy water veggies, and I am a lover of onions as well. For additional price, you can add pickles and peppers which I wish I would had done.

Don't be misled by negative reviews..... I have been everywhere from New York to Philadelphia, this is the best hoagie on the planet period.
This is what I reviewed years ago, then it changed hands, I waited. It's only a matter of time before a new owner puts profits above product. Rather than raise prices they lower product. For me January 6th 2022.... I received a lettuce sandwich with hardly any meat.... So long Carmen I'm going to miss you!!!!! Don't waste your time with this place you get more meat at Subway....

Very disappointed with their cheesesteaks. My girlfriend n I came in 11/14 to try their big daddy Cheesesteak b/c my girlfriend is Obsess with chs steak. When I was unwrapping it to take a whole bite out of it. Couldn’t even pick it up bread was very soggy and then when you did take a bite everything would fall of the bread. They remodel everything witch looks good. but can’t seem to make a great cheesesteak. Tbh these didn’t even deserve a 1 star.

Don't waste your time. They only bought the name. Ordered two cheesesteaks, same size, and one was literally half the size. I questioned it and the woman working the counter said they would make me another. I told her I was in a hurry. Without being asked, the grill guy came over all pissed off and opened up my steak and began touching it and screaming "small steak, small steak!". I told the woman that now I had no choice but to wait. Ten minutes later I had a steak that was the same as the larger steak.
Go to Genovas in Audubon. Great people and a superior steak.

Dingy and unfriendly. No where to sit or stand waiting for your food everybody's just kind of standing around awkwardly bumping into each other. No where to wash your hands.
Breakfast was OK, I asked for a little bit of hot sauce and they drowned the entire thing and so much hot sauce I could barely finish it. What's up with that?
The smell of bread was actually really intoxicating and the rolls were very fresh, unfortunately the texture was really pillowy and absorbed all that hot sauce so it definitely was not a winner.

I debate coming here every time I want a bite to eat. The food is generally very good, but the service in the deli is absolutely HORRIBLE. So much so that I won't come if I don't feel like dealing with a headache. It doesn't seem like they have any management, but I'm Writing this in hopes that someone sees it and does something about it.

Carmens II attached to the delBuonos bakery is a happening spot at least judging by the line. It appears to have good signage on where to order and where to pick up but that's a mirage for the most disorganized deli situation I have seen. We only ordered 2 sandwiches and it took 35 minutes. One bologna hoagie and one ham and cheese hoagie . Nothing crazy here nothing special. 35 minutes people were waiting in line before and after us. If we haven't spoken up we would probably still be waiting .

OMG!!! This is a great place, the foods are absolutely delicious and made on fresh Del Buono's baked rolls !!! It is incredibly hard to just walk around and/or wait in the store smelling the fantastic aromas of Carmen's foods being made; the fabulous smells of Del Buono's fresh baked rolls, cakes, pies, pastries, pizzelles and cookies!!!
They have just anything that you need in a pinch including fresh eggs.
YES!!! This is NOW my #1 place to get my American Hoagie made on a freshly baked roll with fresh cold cuts, lots of lettuce, tomatoes and onions!! I'm in heaven !!

So if I drive from Philly to NJ and get a cheesesteak, should I feel bad? I guess you should try their Big Daddy sub to get tye answer. Recommed it to be eaten immediately while hot as it does get soggy with time. But really nice flavored sub. Add peppers to it to get that extra kick.
They share the site with Del brunos bakery. People were getting rolls by the dozens. Freshly baked bread. Have tried their sub rolls and they are really very good.

The photos are just a few examples of the poor quality food they serve. I got a mimi cheese steak with fried onions. Well I don't like burnt onions and burnt bites of meat through out my sandwich. Also the cost for what you get is not worth it. They charge for everything on the sandwich, ketchup cheese and onions. I could see if I asked for extra of these items, but I didn't. It seems once the original owners sold to Delbuono's the quality has went to crap. I long for the good old days.

Omg this place is THE BEST fresh rolls as you walk in I got myself long Italian rolls and smalls rolls as well for $8 can't beat that.!!!
Plus I got a BEC on Lr and this is now my morning spot for work just started working up this area and McDonald's and Dunkin just wasn't doing it anymore. Thanks yelp for Carmen place I'll be coming here everyday now

*****Don't eat here in sanitary***** If I could rate this with 0 stars I would! Today while I was getting my hoagies the lady was cleaning the right food counter and the top of it. You would think they have step stools to clean the back splash wall and top of the food counter but no. The lady got up on the cutting board with her shoes and pants rubbing all over it completely turned me off. I've worked for Wawa and understand sanitary issues and I can't be more disgusted that not one employee behind that counter with her didn't say anything about this issue.

Carmen's is located within the Del Bueno bakery on 168. They use the Del Bueno rolls to make fresh deli sandwiches. They also sell pies, sodas, snacks, cold salads (macaroni, potato, etc). The rolls and the Dietz & Watson meats make for a delicious sandwich. Friendly staff as well. Grab a bag of rolls from Del Buenos and a sandwich to go.

Today we stopped by DelBuono's and could not resist getting some subs at Carmen's. We order a tuna sub and cheese sub. The homemade tuna salad was delicious in the yummy DelBuono's roll. The cheese sub was filled with freshly sliced cheeses. I especially loved the provolone. For dessert we picked up the apple filling yellow cake. We have been going to DelBuono's since we were children growing up in Haddon Heights. Carmen's Deli is a fabulous addition to one stop for delicious deli items and rolls and pastries! This place is a neighborhood gem.
