Ravin Shah, owner/pharmacist always intended to return to New York and open his own pharmacy. One day in Lexington, and one lunch break, changed all that. While doing relief work on an especially hectic day at Lexington's Eckerd pharmacy, Ravin decided to grab a quick lunch in the Forest Hill Center.
He noticed there was an available space and immediately felt, "this is the place". Some would call it coincidence, Ravin swears it was just meant to be. Since we opened our doors on 07/11/2006, Ravin has practiced his philosophy of one on one customer service and counseling. He focuses on building relationships, not square footage.

There's a new entry in the growing west Davidson pharmacy competition. But Ravin Shah, owner and pharmacist in charge of A1 Pharmacy & Surgical Supply in Lexington's Forest Hill Center, said he's aiming for a broader market than that.
Shah, who has worked for the CVS pharmacy chain and continues to do some work for Eckerd Drugs, said patients need someone to talk with about their prescriptions, but few drug stores are set up so that pharmacists have time to answer their questions.He said he initiates conversations with customers because often they feel they do not know enough even to ask a question.

Ravin, and his staff are the best in Davidson County ! I receive a notification when I need refills, and when they're ready. I also receive a birthday message on my birthday. I live with severe Autoimmune Diseases, and sometimes get confused about when I need certain meds, Ravin and his staff are there to help me. I don't have to question anything about A1 Pharmacy, or my meds, because they take great care of me. So, if you're looking for a great pharmacy, choose A1, you won't regret it.

I was spoiled rotten by this wonderful pharmacy. I moved to Greensboro a couple of months ago and the new pharmacy just can't get it right. I don't know what is so hard about refilling an existing prescription from a previous pharmacy, but they messed that up three times when I initially had it transferred over. Last week my doctor prescribed three medications and they called to say they were partially out of stock of one of them, so I had to wait an extra day to get them. I picked them up yesterday and didn't look in the bag until I got home. There was only one prescription in the bag; guess they

Great atmosphere and all the employees are great and they will help you in anyway possible. And they see a problem with the medication that the doctor sent in example you are allergic or you have more than one prescription for a medicine they will call you and let you know and if you are allergic they will not fill the medicine. They are the most caring and understanding pharmacy that I had ever been to. And if you don't have away to the pharmacy they will deliver. Five stars is not enough for this pharmacy they need about 50.
