5 Boro Laundry

At the beginning of COVID last year, my local laundromat closed. The nearest laundromat would've been 5 miles, which it's difficult to get to since I don't have a car. When searching online for a laundromat pick up services, 5 boro laundry had the most reviews, high star rating on Yelp, and their pricing were very reasonable. Since then I've been a customer for almost over a year already. Love how they wash my clothes and fold them up!! They are always on time to pick up and to drop off. They also communicate with you if there will be a change on the time for the pick up

Pros: Pickup was on-time, laundry was returned clean and folded.

Cons: Hides their minimum $$$ on their site until you are charged during drop off (NOT as cheap as it looks when there's a $35 minimum!), was delivered almost an HOUR late after I had already called and asked if they were on time day of ("yes, they're at the stop right before you, 15 minutes away").

Not worth the hassle in my opinion.

I don't use laundry services often but I have to give this place credit. I sent two bags of clothes last time and it was returned to me clean, folded and neat. I don't care for the scent of the detergent used but everything else is ok. I have no complaints.

Great service . Booked online during this pandemic.. Everything was on time pickup an delivery . Clothes smelled great . Customer service was excellent . Will use again .

UPDATE: After posting this review, I received 6 dropped calls from 5 Boro in under 30 minutes. Chris left 1, 19-second voicemail after the 2nd call, telling me they have reached out previous weeks and have had 'no response' from me, even though I have no missed or outstanding communication from them. I have now received an email from Tracy calling me "completely irrational". Rather than simply update me proactively or reply to my outreach, they wait until I share my experience and then use my personal contact details to repeatedly call and ultimately insult me.

TL;DR was

Very poor service. A very delicate scarf was damaged despite asking for "hang dry" service. They refused to provide any indemnification for the damaged piece. They consistently delivered and picked up laundry outside their service hours, and when that happened, they arbitrarily reassigned me once to a time slot I was only informed of when I called to check on the status of my order. Laundry services like CLEANLY are slightly pricier, but much more reliable and professional.

This was my first time using 5 Boro Laundry and I can tell you that the experience was super! First, I contacted 5 Boro and spoke to Chris about his laundry service. He said that his service was completely professional! My laundry would be picked up according to my schedule. The,rates were reasonable. The clothes would be returned the following day. He indicated that 5 Boro has been in business for 25 years. Found this to be true as I called back several times and the line was always busy! Message was that the "agent at 5 Boro was on the line with another customer," True to their promise

Due to construction in our home, I do not have access to the laundry room. After reading a few reviews, I decided to try 5 Boro Laundry.
The whole experience was easy, quick, friendly, professional, and worth every penny!
Five large bags of laundry was picked up one morning, and delivered the next morning, cleaned, folded, and even with a few extra dryer sheets in between to keep it fresh!
I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them in the months to come!!

I've used a couple different services and this is by far the the best. The ordering interface is so easy to use, something hard pressed to find for some reason, plus the customer service is extremely helpful and friendly.

To put it succinctly: it's Cleanly service with Big Apple Wash prices--the best combination.

5 Boro Laundry is amazing. I tried fly laundry, they lost my clothes for a week, and I will never go near them again. I was searching laundry service and came across 5Boro. Thank God! I have used them 5 times since. Every time my clothes come back they smell so amazing and fresh, on top of that the pants are never shrunken and the sweaters are never pilly. I look forward to getting my sheets and blankets back for how soft and fresh they are. They are so accommodating for pick ups and deliveries and I can have my clothes within 24 hours or less without an additional charge. Thank you 5Boro

They were really kind. My laundry was done well. It's hard to find good laundry service in nyc and I'm glad I found them randomly. I will call them again for sure. They are flexible w drop off and pick ups.

On time pick up and delivery and did a great job handling my clothes. The clothes came clean and folded well with same day delivery.

First time trying today! quick, reliable, and cheap. i am definitely using them again!
