The history of DeWys is built on a foundation of family, focus and a customer-first mentality. Here's a bit about how we began and how we've gotten to where we are today. Mark DeWys founded DeWys Manufacturing as a "one-man" metal shop in West Michigan. The small shop's original service was the fabrication of tubular fireplace inserts, racks, and a variety of small metal parts.
The team at DeWys understands the importance of recognizing and rewarding hard work. As a family-owned business, it is crucial that every team member is operating as part of a cohesive team allowing for personal and professional growth! Our culture and strength comes from our team members tenants of honesty, integrity, and commitment - values which are very much a part of who we are and what we stand for.
DeWys University is our own program developed to sustain our business through on the job training. As a manufacturer in Michigan, we need to create the talent required to keep up with our growth. The DeWys University curriculum is based on both theory and practice. Not only do students get to understand DeWys Manufacturing, they also get on the job training with a certified trainer for the area in which they have applied.
