Consolidated Metal Products, Inc. was founded in 1974. Gary, David and John Becker purchased the business in 1991, when it was still located on Fox Street next to Pridgeon and Clay. The business was moved in May of 2002 to Wyoming, Michigan to a building the company purchased from Modern Mold located on Clay Ave, SW, south of 36th Street.

After that move additional equipment was purchased. We have been supplying top quality laser parts since 1999. To be competitive in this market Consolidated Metal Products invested in the best software that makes it possible to nest parts in the sheet in the most efficient manner. Consolidated Metal Products got its start by providing short run stampings.
Services
Laser cutting has gained popularity because it reduces the requirement for tooling. We have software which makes it possible to design in 3D and layout multiple part numbers on a common sheet so that the utilization of the material is increased. We use Solid Edge, Solid Works, and Auto Cad. We have been supplying metal fabrications to our customers since 1974.
CMP up graded their forming capability in 2016 with the purchase of a new 12 foot 193 ton Ermak Speed Bend Pro. The press controller has the touch screen, 3D images of the tooling and part to be formed. This press has nearly every option that can be purchased. We purchased tooling with the press and have bought additional tooling when the need has come up.
Consolidated is prepared to take care of your welding requirements. CMP's equipment includes two TIG welders. The latest addition was purchased in June of 2016. It is the Dynasty 280 DK. We also have two resistance spot welders and two wire welders. Welding and polishing is an art. Welded corners can be polished so that the junction appears to be one piece of metal formed rather than two pieces welded together.
CMP can manufacture sheet metal assemblies and components based on nearly any concept, drawing, or physical example to your design specifications. Because of our technology, advanced equipment and experienced staff, we can create the most complicated shapes out of many different materials. We also have modern equipment to punch, form, perforate, laser cut, custom tool and stamp metal.
The fun part of the business is the collaboration with the customers' management and line people, to arrive at the best solution. That way we not only find the best solution to minimize bridging, air pockets, pooling and achieve the best coverage, but find the most efficient way to load and unload the line.

These guys do a great job. Exacting work, quick turnaround, very reasonable pricing, and willing to take on smaller lots. I would definitely recommend them!
