Gator Vacuum was established in 1989 in Coral Springs, FL by Robert Buckwald. Having been born into the vacuum business and taught by his father Arnold, who owned several high volume vacuum stores in Brooklyn NY in the 1960's, he already had a head start in the industry at such a young age.
Helping his father after school and every Saturday repairing vacuums in the 1970's provided him with on-the-job training and overall knowledge of the vacuum industry, which formed the core of who he is today.Learning responsibility and helping customers at that age made a real impression on Robert and taught him valuable lessons on how to run a business.

We purchased a Drainvac vacuum system from Gator Vacuum a year and a half ago ago--outstanding! I recently brought in an accessory piece for minor repair. No questions asked--they took care of the repair the same day (and with no fee). I just bought another vacuum from Gator Vacuum last weekend. I brought my old one in, I wasn't concerned if i couldn't get anything for it. At least i know it is in good hands now, I have been buying from Gator Vacuum since my son was in Elementary school and now he is a junior in college, Everyone there is very well educated about everything they sell, they show how the product is used and if you ever have a problem, just let them know. I think this is the 2nd vacuum from them. That is how long it has lasted. Always though make sure, you get it tuned up, change the filters to keep it up to par

I needed to get a vacuum for my sister's carpeted floors. I have all tile floors and know nothing about carpet cleaning! After looking at Target and Amazon realizing it would take forever to look at reviews and multiple units to learn about vacuums I decided it was more research than I cared to do. Why not ask the experts. Robert showed me just what I needed and had it shipped to her in Connecticut. In 5 minutes I was done. What a great experience to work with someone who really knows the product. The ability to have it shipped right away too, just made the whole experience perfect.

The vacuum that I have and love stopped working! I feel so luck that I found Gator Vacuum. My vacuum is not a common brand, but they were familiar with it and was able to bring it back to life and make it like new again. They were polite, knowledgeable, and helpful (something not common in south Florida). I would recommend them to anyone that either needs their vacuum repaired or if you want to upgrade to something better that will last a long time.

I have lived in Coral Springs, FL for many years and have been searching for a new vacuum for my home for quite a while as my old, but reliable Eureka has finally met its expiration date. After doing some research I called into Gator Vac and spoke with Ben who was very helpful over the phone. He told me to come in so he was able to assist me better.
Once I arrived Ben came to the front of the store (mask of course!) and went over the most cost effective and efficient vacuums for my home; he was very professional and knew his stuff! I ended up with a nice new, affordable Hoover that works wonderfully

1) Gator Vacuum is the BEST- they gave us pros and cons of each vacuum and was very patient with us as we tried to decide. I have used them in the past to repair my vacuum and really liked them, but never bought there before- I don't think I will be buying from anywhere else from now on.
2) But with my new Miele (Complete C3 Home Care) I probably won't have to buy another vacuum. It is well worth the price! Being older the problem I have had with the Shark and the Hoover is the weight to lift it and the effort of the back and forth motion to vacuum. OK- I don't vacuum a lot because it has always

We went in the shop with a bunch of questions about central vac systems. The staff there were extremely helpful and answered all our questions. Once we made a decision on which central vacuum system we wanted to replace the 50 year old system in our house, they helped us to determine correct size, correct accessories and they also offered a very reasonable installation option that we just completed (only 2 days later and could have been same day if we'd gotten there earlier in the day).
