The Guerrera family immigrated to the US in the late 60's from Carlantino, Italy, a small town bordering Roma, Italy. They were eager to bring traditional dishes to the Sacramento area. They opened the first family restaurant in Vallejo, CA in 1968. In 1973, the Guerrera family opened Roma's Pizzeria on Franklin Blvd in Sacramento, CA.
Tony literally grew up in the restaurant, playing and later working to help with the family business. Roma's has been operated for many years by Pietro (Pete) Pozzuto and his wife, Antoinetta. They've built a great tradition of pizza lovers and Tony is very thankful. They have retired howevver the business will be in good hands, as it's now owned by Tony Guerrera.

Tonight was not a good night at Roma's. I phoned my order in was told 35 minutes and it ended up a little over 45 minutes so I had to wait in the dark bar area which was a bummer. When I finally got my pizza they didn't have any cheese. The lady at the cash register said they ran out yesterday. How does an Italian restaurant run out of cheese? And when they do, shouldn't they get more before they open the next day? I want cheese and the hot pepper flakes on my pizza because that's how I like it. Anyways, it didn't really matter there was no cheese because the pizza was

Before we came here we hadnt came for many years. We came again because we were visiting and remembered how good this place was. I feel the quality has gone done quite a bit. Our pizza was undercooked in the middle (pretty dough-y) and they messed up our order a bit by not putting tomato on our pizza. The staff was pretty kind, which is a definite plus. Overall, pretty meh experience. Not terrible, but not too good either.

Delicious pizza, family style restaurant. We ordered the all meat (boys report it was delicious), and a custom chicken pizza which I thoughtwas very good. One of the toppings was left out of the custom order, but the waiter noticed and gave us a discount even though we hadn't said anything. Ambiance leaves something to be desired. Fun lunch altogether, will definitely go again!

Bought pizza about 2 years ago that I thought would be good but I was disappointed. During that occasion, I thought after having pizza it wasn't worth the 4.5 reviews on here. I kept thinking after 2 yrs that I wanted to like it so I decided to get 2 pizzas (01/08/22). I came home, took the first bite and thought that it was definitely not worth the 4.5 star reviews. I don't think I would buy pizza from here again. The pizzas that I bought had hard crust all throughout and seemed like it tasted burnt, this was a result of either being left too long to bake or was baked at a higher temperature.

I’m so disappointed I paid like 30 dollars for a pizza I had one slice went to eat another one and got a surprise hair in my mouth I went at 10 so by the time I got home they was closed it was under the crust part I love this place but for the six toppings I ordered was bare and they missed a topping on top of that idk what was going on last night normally they are really good

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The workers don't wear masks EVER (I will be calling OSHA). We are on our 3rd year of Covid how are you're STILL not wearing a mask????? I'm sad to say that after coming here & eating with my family for over 10 years, I will never be back. Every time I come here they seem to mess up my order. It was my first visit and the joint appeared to be an old standard for the community, showing its age on the inside and out, but the pizza was really quite good. Toppings were fresh and plentiful. Sauce was light and well seasoned. The crust seemed a little overworked and tough and lacked some flavor I had hoped for. That said, the edges were great. It's worth the trip and gets a great dive rating from me.

The pasta was delicious the salad was great but, the pizza was nasty I really tried to like it but the flavor was just off... the sauce they put on the pizza just tasted plain and the vegetables weren't really fresh and it was kind of soggy , a little disappointed because I spent 50$ and was expecting the pizza to be better 😔😔😔😔

So disappointed with this location… bought my son his favorite pizza from Romas on his 31st birthday, only to get home (way in Roseville) to find the bottom of the pizza COMPLETELY BURNT!!!!
It had the worst bitter charcoal flavor! This was just so disappointing, we couldn’t eat the crust, we could only enjoy the toppings. Their delicious bread crust is why most of us love Roma’s. Constant disappoint from this pizzeria…We’ll steer clear of this location and dine at the son’s location in Carmichael or Franklin Blvd.

Roma's is one of our go-to places for takeout pizza. We haven't dined in yet, but we've picked up many times now. The pizza is consistently delicious and is great the day of or reheated. Our regular order is a large pepperoni with extra cheese and unless we have friends over we always have plenty of leftovers!

I came in around 1 to complain about my pizza from DD, the night before. I understand sometimes things get messed up or a little old from sitting. I came in because I wanted store credit or something equivalent. The older gentlemen(possibly another cook) told me he would make me a fresh small one for the inconvenience. I really appreciated the remake. Thank you! We enjoyed it the pizza much more this time. Thank you for being understanding. The cook that cooked/handed me the pizza was super nice when giving me my pizza and by surprise

I am not ashamed to admit that I am a big fan of Round Table pizza, it is the standard against I compare all other pizzas. When a pizza is better than Round Table, it is truly exceptional and a rare find.
Roman's pizza is better than Round Table! I had a pizza delivered by DoorDash and it arrived at the perfect temperature. The driver had to wait at Roman's while they were still making it, so that may have helped.

Due to the mixed reviews, I decided to test this place out myself. I door dashed. The pizza arrived in a reasonable timeframe, dasher did great but the pizza and the garlic cheese bread was low in quality.
Despite the pizza arriving warm, it was extremely soggy. Dripping and soaking the box. The pizza base was not strong enough to hold all the toppings and everything basically slid off the slice. You can't even lift a clean slice out of the box. You can tell the pizza was mindlessly made. The crust was horrible. I don't usually mind a thick crust but the crust on this pizza was dry

Been going here for years with my family. We've love the pizza and the ingredients always taste fresh. They also sell pasta as well and its good, but I prefer the pizza. The staff are friendly and the wait time depends on how busy it is. It can get pretty busy so its better if you call ahead and the parking lot is a small shared lot. We ordered pick up recently and they were only open for pickup. They don't deliver to North Sacramento so we stop by whenever we are in the area. The pizza was warm and had a large amount of toppings. I love my toppings. The more the marrier! I definitely

I do believe Roma's has the best pizza in town. The Roma special is the ultimate, it has loads of toppings which seem very fresh and are cut big. The meat is generous and piled high. It tastes like premium meat, not just mass produced meat. The olives are cut big enough so you can taste it. Next time you bite into a Round Table King Arthur's, think about if you even taste the olives?
The price is similar to the chains, maybe a few dollars more, but super worth it. I feel like I'm getting my money's worth when I go to Roma's.

The interior was far more days more than what I recalled, and the service reminded me of the TV show Mel's diner. The waitress was fairly curt, and rushed us ordering our food, not paying attention to exactly what we were asking for, or the questions that we'd have about some of the meals on the menu.
