Dr. Brown is a specifically trained Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - completing a Child & Adolescent Fellowship from the Emory University Medical School; practicing in this genre for almost ten years. She creates a caring environment so that Children & Adolescent can be cared for in a thorough, efficient, well-organized and professional manner.
We deliver the highest quality of psychiatric care in an environment where patients feel unrushed, thoroughly listened to and well informed. Office Visit: 90% of patients are treated on time or within 10 minutes of a scheduled time. Services: Initial Evaluation is more than 60 minutes, medication follow up about 30 minutes, 88% of our competitors spends less than that time with their patients.

WellMed is owned and operated by Psychiatrists, thus the "middle man" is removed. Our goal is to provide mental health education to Individuals and Families, Businesses and Schools, Athletic Directors and Law Enforcement Personnel. We seek to break the silence, to reduce the stigma and destructive behaviors often associated with mental health issues and illnesses, and to move away from crisis-based response to prevention through education.
Our Social Skills Group combines medical treatment and social skills development at one convenient location in Tucker GA. It also provides a wonderful chance for kids to learn the essential skills needed to navigate the complex dynamics of friendships and the social world. As Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists, many of our patients - and some of our closest loved ones - are children possessing ADHD, Asperger's or Sensory Processing Disorder.

Call ahead of your appointment to check if Dr. Martin is running late or your wait time will be considerable. However, that can be a plus since you never feel like your session is rushed. She is calm and kind and seems to have genuine interest in my well being. I've never felt part of an assembly line, so to me she is worth the wait.

I wouldn't recommend this place. I finally decided to talk with a psychiatrist for the 1st time and I hate that this was my experience.
Every time I spoke with a receptionist, over the phone or in person they were so unwelcoming and rude. This last time is the final straw. The admin calls me to "confirm" my 12pm appointment at 1pm the day before. I say "oh, I'm glad you called because I'd actually like to cancel." She goes it's been past 24hours so if you cancel you'll be charged. Oh really, so this call that you made to me 23 HOURS before my appointment

Dr. Martin do NOT respect her patients time! She was booking out 3 1/2 weeks and when I arrived at my appointment, 4 others was waiting. I had a 12:30pm and 1:00pm came around and she haven’t called on 1 other patient. The person that was with her prior to my arrival remain in her office. She over book and it happens on a regular. The person that recommended me warned me that she’s very slow but because of the location, I came anyways. The therapist Patsy is marvelous! She don’t even fit in with the rude and inconsiderate staff there! I have no plans to return to this practice! Everything
