Georgia Psychiatric Consultants provides individualized treatment for a full spectrum of mental disorders. We start with a complete assessment to determine an accurate diagnosis and identify any factors that may be affecting your mental health. This will include an evaluation of any medical conditions, psychological factors, and other aspects of your life that may be contributing to your problem.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or TMS, is an FDA cleared noninvasive treatment that is used to treat psychiatric conditions. TMS uses a magnetic field to stimulate a specific target region in the brain that controls mood, using it to treat symptoms of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and other conditions by activating the neural pathways.
At Georgia Psychiatric Consultants we work with several pharmaceutical companies to develop new medications that will be used to treat mental disorders in the future. Our clinical research trials involve the use of investigational medicines for a variety of mental disorders.
