My son struggles with both general anxiety and specific phobias that have prevented him from trying new things, participating in social events, and living a more relaxed life as a kid. He met with 2 other nice therapists before but never quite clicked with them, and when they asked questions about how he was doing, he would shrug them off and say he was "fine".
Working with Adam has been completely different. Adam's fantastic at relating to him, using humor to make us laugh, explaining the anxiety process and how it feels in the body, and holding him accountable to digging deeper and answering

Our youngest has been seeing Adam for about a year now, and going to Adam has become a really important part of his strategy for coping with his anxious thoughts/feelings. We recommend him highly. He also accepts Tufts. (Not Harvard Pilgrim, unfortunately, but nothing is perfect).

Adam is an excellent therapist and helped our son immensely to manage feelings of anxiety. He’s also very responsive when issues arise in between meetings. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Adam. My daughter was suffering from anxiety and while other therapists gave her worksheets and coloring pages, Adam dove into getting to the root cause of her anxiety. He adapted to what my daughter did and said in order to keep her talking. He gave her some awesome tools to help and encourage her. He is super easy to talk to, and explains things to kids in a really helpful and easy way. He also includes parents in sessions if he feels it will help, and I greatly appreciated that.

Finding a great therapist is so important especially when it comes to our children. Adam Ciccio was recommended by our pediatrician and I am so grateful that we made the appointment. In short, he made an instant connection with our young son and helped him through a difficult time, while at the same time helped me gain perspective. I would 100% recommend Adam.
And he has an awesome new children's book out called Anxious Andy. It's a "Must read" if you have an anxious child.
