Would give 0 stars if I could. From being brought there multiple times from work related incidents, I can tell you this is the slowest, most unprofessional, hospital, specifically ER have ever been to. Had a doctor say they could give me a "free" cosmetic surgery if I use the "leftover Katrina money"? I had a broken shoulder and had to go to a different hospital because they didn't catch it. Had a friend who broke her femur that had surgery there. They said it would be 6 week recovery. 1 year later she's still not cleared to work and had to have an additional surgery

My daughter needed to see a specialist so I went along for support. The Covid 19 protocol was set-up efficiently yet thorough. All seating was taped off in sections to allow 6 or more feet apart. Everyone is required to wear masks, hand sanitizer is available and gloves are worn by employees. We felt safe here and my daughter had a good, patient doctor.

Been having to come here a few times recently due to some personal medical reasons. During COVID-19, they have really been doing everything possible to ensure guests, patients, and staff are all safe.
Upon walking in you must wear a disposable medical mask, get your temperature checked, wear a designated band to show your temperature was checked, and carry a paper signing off you did the proper COVID-19 checkpoints.
All the various waiting rooms are marked off with chairs that are "closed" to promote social distancing.
Staff has all been friendly and very accommodating.

I was brought to the emergency room at this garbage institution a few days ago and i literally almost died without getting the help i needed and deserved. I was begging for help as my whole entire body from my face to my toes were cramping for more than an hour before i got a room. I watched other patients wheeled into a room first before i did even though i have been in the waiting room for about 40 minutes suffering and begging for help. The security guards literally were verbally making fun of me and one of them stated " This dude right here, He's crazy" I was so shocked but

This place is absolutely gorgeous. I love the design of the facility so many elements of peace. However, staffing this facility is evidently an issue. We spent at least a week with my nephew recovery. We became House Keepers , CNA/ Nursing Assistant. We changed his bed, cleaned his room, and gave him a shower and logged his urine we did almost everything but dispense his meds. The nursing staff has large volume of patients to care for during their shift. We were located on a ICU step down unit and there was only 2 nurses and 2 CNA/ Nursing Assistant on the entire floor.

I went to the ER this past Monday. I had SEVERE abdominal pain and actually passed out momentarily at my home. I went to the ER and they took me within a few minutes to triage. They took blood work and put two bracelets on my wrist. One was "fall risk". They put me in a wheel chair and then placed me in the waiting room for 4 HOURS!! Yes..4 hours I sat there in excruciating pain. Not one person came to see if I was alright... My husband went up to the desk several times to see what was going on. He had to interrupt the receptionist from shopping online for a resort to go to on

For a hospital designed for the under and uninsured I have been really, really impressed with my boyfriends overall care. Three months ago he planted his foot and twisted his knee in an unnatural way resulting in a pop and tear of several ligaments. Our first visit was to the E.R. We waited no longer than a few minutes before being seen. Our physician was teaching a new resident so her diagnosis included what to look for and why, when delivering her determination. This gave us plenty of opportunity to ask questions which I find comforting when I know as many details as possible.

Came to ER with kidney pain on Monday might at 1:00am. 7 to 8 out of 10 pain scale. Immediate triage, but then asked to sit and wait. Been waiting 82 minutes. 15 patients still ahead of me. Reason? Full admissions, shortage of nurses.
This is not a hospital, I'm sorry. A hospital is where they care for the sick and ailing. One dude next to me was having a heart attack and I had to get up to get nurses attention.
A kid has severe abdominal pain, probably appendicitis. He has been waiting longer than me.
Go someplace else.

Errrrgggghhhhh. This is a toughie. I wish there were separate pages for the hospital and the clinic. The hospital is great-ish. The clinic makes me feel like I need a doctor to fix me after I am done at the clinic.
FIrst: The hospital.
My husband was airlifted to UMC after a serious auto accident. He was in the ICU for several nights, then Acute Care for another couple of nights. The care he was given was superb. He received a plethora of scans and tests to check and recheck for anything and everything that had gone wrong. His trauma, neuro, ortho, and rehab teams were outstanding!! I would

They got it RIGHT!!!!!! This facility is state of the art & definitely a focal point in the area. Located between two main streets, Canal & Tulane, the renovation & relocation of this hospital was a long time coming. This renovation is GORGEOUS to say the least.
The lobby is huge & marble floors are abounding. One set of elevators for clinic access & the other for hospital access. Named The Reverend Avery C. Alexander Hospital; this is a beautiful place for the eye to behold.
Formerly located behind LSUMC, in the rear corner, this hospital has advanced leaps and bounds

Ok so my brother had to have an emergency surgery on a Saturday. Now keep in mind I am a nurse with hospital experience so I am quite aware of how things SHOULD go. However.....the place ia beautiful. It is so clean. Unfortunately we were shown to the waiting room. We sat there for about an hour and no circulating nurse. I walked around on the 4th floor hoping to see anyone.
I ran into a male dressed in green scrubs and I politely asked "is there a circulating nurse?" He replied "There ia but I don't know where ahe is." Never once did he say "let me help"
