Gaming Approaches Towards Education, LLC (GATE) started as a conversation at a kitchen table between two doctorate-level counselors and a game designer. Timothy, Brian, and Moses talked about how we could use role-playing games in therapy and what boardgames mechanics could aid them in their therapeutic process.
Individual therapy is a type of psychotherapy where a therapist will work with you one-on-one to work through mental health issues. Individual therapy allows a safe, confidential space for you to build trust with your therapist so you can focus on improving your mental health. During your therapy time, you'll talk through personal issues, emotional difficulties, or mental health problems with one of our counselors.
This therapy allows you to sit down with one of our therapists one-on-one. Individual therapy can help you recognize symptoms and learn how to cope and focus on your strengths.
