Provides patients experiencing severe symptoms with: daily structure, intensive treatment and stabilization to prevent inpatient hospitalization. Offered 3 to 5 days per week, patients are taught how to effectively manage and cope with symptoms of mental health and/or substance abuse concerns. Medication management, group therapy, individual sessions and family therapy are integrated to foster the best possible outcome.

Founded in 2005, GenPsych is New Jersey's premier mental health and substance abuse treatment provider. We treat drug, alcohol addiction and eating disorders. The Youth Program at GenPsych (ages 8-12) is an outpatient program offering both Partial Care treatment as well as Intensive Outpatient Programming. Our program aims to help children struggling with various issues such as anxiety, depression, defiance, anger and more.
Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to reach these children on a more thorough level, leading to widespread change in areas such as self-esteem, behavioral issues and family dynamics.Before entering the program, each child undergoes a comprehensive evaluation to determine the extent of any psychiatric issues.

Please note that Ms. Ashley Hooks who is a Patient Care Coordinator at the Bridgewater Location is a fine employee. Ms. Hooks has always been professional and willing to help me. Ms. Hooks is a very caring, elegant woman who is always willing to listen to a patient, such as myself, and attempt to communicate with the patient. Ms. Hooks also is a very intelligent young woman who is very skilled and talented. I believe that Ms. Hooks will further her career and will achieve many of her goals. Ms. Hooks is an excellent role model for young women who aspire to be great.

Gen psych is a WONDERFUL mental health service that provides the most amazing support through different mental health tracks. The Bridgewater location was such a great experience and place for me. I believe that if anyone is considering working on them self and having thoughts about therapy, try it out! Just starting is a great start on working on improving your overall being. I’ve learned to keep chasing my life goals while learning and figuring out different tools to manage and regular myself . Some of these tool include working on emotions and interpersonal relations, and mindfulness. These

After the passing of my beloved son, from a tragic accident, I needed serious help. Genpsych was the only place I could find that offered me the kind of caring, structured program that I needed to help me deal with my intense grief and depression. The grief will always be there, because you grieve as much as you loved, but they gave me great tools to work with and I have a very different outlook on things now.

Do not recommend. If I could give 0 stars I would. If you have any billing inquiries or issues the billing department is not afraid to blatantly ignore you for years and you will never get it fixed. Just hoping to spare someone the financial distress GenPsych has inflicted. It’s even sadder that their program itself is great but the billing department doesn’t match the program.

This place is horrible from the office staffs to the providers and the billing staff. Please do not waste you time looking for help at the facility you will have more Anxiety problems leaving this facility. We need better mental health care than Genphysych. The only thing my son and I was able to achieve from them was an enormously Bill.

I don’t know how anyone could give this place less than five stars. I owe the counselors here my life, one of which I kept as my therapist even after I graduated the program. The quality of counseling here is top of the line. The counselors here are real people, with genuine compassion who meet you exactly where you’re at. It’s so obvious they love what they do and that really translates to the way they tailor their treatment to you. This isn’t some place where you get lectured about self esteem and drugs are bad. Instead you get the opportunity to open up as much as feel you want to on

I wish I could give it a ZERO. Extremely unprofessional, I paid my copays, filled out all the new patient paper work and yet two separate times the councilor and then a doctor did not show up for my appointment and didn't give me any heads up or explanation. Even after calling and emailing many times trying to clear up the situation I have been ignored again and again. If you need help with your mental health this is not the place that you want to go unless you want it to make you worse. They do not care about their patients and all they care about is taking money. Extremely disgusting, do better

My experience with GenPsych of Bridgewater has exceeded my expectations as the receptionists, advanced practice nurse and program director have been accommodating to the essential needs for those suffering from medical issues and determining the best level of care.
