I bought a pair of glasses 4 years ago at Specs and ever since I am amazed at the level of service and and attention to detail. Recently, the frame broke and I called for options, not thinking there were any. A fellow named Raymond answered and told me to Fed Ex the pair to the store (I had moved to Indiana) He not only mended the break, but also removed the sweat/oil stains on the bows! Apparently today was the day I received mom strength after giving birth and broke my glasses while cleaning them at the bridge. I called Specs after googling for a repair option and they got back to me immediately. Raymond got me fixed up incredibly fast where you can't see the break. Thank goodness because my DIY would have been straight Revenge of the Nerds. Thank you for stopping my blurry vision migraine in it's tracks!

Outstanding service of the first order, Covid be damned. This was my second visit to Specs and it's amazing how it still operates like a fine clock, given the current climate. You can sense professionalism and warmth, they make it look easy. Their selections give you that kid in the candy store feeling. My girlfriend had an appointment to pick up a fantastic new pair of glasses and I asked if I could tag along, no problem. While Steven was doing the fitting, Raymond was tweaking a vintage pair of sunglasses I just happened to be carrying and Dr. Legois gave me the most thorough eye examination

I have patronized this store for years. Great glasses and service has always been exceptional. Travelled across town for an adjustment today and found the store boarded up due to recent Chauvin trial. Sign on door announced policy of "appts only". Perhaps a covid related change? Did not allow me in the door because they were "full until next week." Not a happy surprise. All of my patients see me with appointments. When someone shows up without one, I usually try to figure out a way to accommodate. No such consideration for me today. Points off for this.

As a retired scrub nurse I definitely know about keeping environments clean and sterile. Specs Optical is the best place by far in being set up to take care of staff and customers. Keeping to one customer at a time, they are truly in compliance for being open during . All places need to limit the # of customers at a time to be able to be to keep systems intact, protecting staff, customers. Specs Optical is the perfect example of how to create a system of safety, and it needs to be shown to the customer service industry as a teaching tool on how to do it right.

I have no idea how to express exactly how positive my experience here was. Steven basically held me like a new born child while performing some 10/10 covid social distancing/PPE. When we first arrived, my partner offered an aesthetic opinion and Steven came back with an arm load of options for me to try on. As I tried out his selections he would dart away and return with more informed choices, based on my and my partner’s’ feedback. I’m positive that visiting Specs, and specifically Steven has been the only good thing about 2020, aside from getting engaged. Thank you, Steven, you’re beautiful

I wasn't sure what to expect during COVID-19 but Specs is extremely thoughtful and considerate of this dangerous time. Aside from being mindful of C19 and taking great precautions in avoiding its spread, the staff was absolutely above and beyond any rational expectations. Steven went far out of his way to help find what I was looking for. While my partner and I sat, we told him vague ideas of what we were looking for, and he collected more options given our feedback. Being trans is hard sometimes but interacting with people like Steven can make your whole life feel a little better. Thank you

I just had my eyes examined, ordered new lenses for my regular and sunglasses and bought a new pair recommended by Kelly. Super clean and sanitized, temp check at the door. I have been a customer of Specs since shortly after they opened. They are so good that I continue to buy my glasses at Specs even though I now live out of state. Stopped in today to see if this store could repair my prescription sunglasses. Steven is the team member that helped me and in less than 10 minutes my glasses repaired, cleaned, and tightened. Cost you ask? Nothing but a smile and "Happy I could help!"

Discovered this place after I saw that they were an authorized seller on the Maui Jim website. The woman was friendly over the phone and in person. I had already did my research and knew I was going to purchase the sunglasses. I politely asked about the return and exchange policy and the guy said that they didn’t have one. I asked again and he walked away and spoke with the woman who told him 5 days for store credit. I do not trust any company who doesn’t know their return policy. I really wanted the sunglasses so I asked if I can inspect before I purchase, the guy seemed insulted and the women

Steven made the process painless and he was one of the very few people I worked with across the numerous local boutiques that not only took the time to recommend numerous lenses but also was also bold enough to offer good opinion as to what looks good or not. They have a great selection and as long as you are willing to pay for quality this is definitely worth your visit. And in case you are curious, I found myself a great pair of rose gold Dita glass that I get compliments on all the time.

My first pair of glasses from Specs was approx 18years ago and I thought they were expensive then... but they are still in great shape! I don't make a million bucks so I save and save for a pair of glasses from Specs because they are worth it! Every pair I have purchased since are still in great shape as well! I have now purchased 3 more pair from Specs over 18 years since my first pair, and they are top notch! I had purchased 4 other pair nearby from different places in 2016 and all 4 pair have since broken - were scratched almost immediately- and never stayed in adjustment. As a hairstylist

I purchased a pair of frames but had not picked them up from the store and then decided I didn't want them. They initially refused to refund my money even though I have never even received the frames and it was under 30 days from initial order.
Eventually the manager got involved and made it right. I'm glad they came around and did the right thing

This is a neutral post. "We are not cheap, Cheapest frames we have are $400" was from the well dressed and fashionable person in the store.

I will say this, the guy I dealt with, was professional!

I've purchased three pairs of glasses at Specs, and had two exams there. I've never had better service. Dr. Buchli is an amazing eye doctor. Kelly, Steven and Jenny are very passionate, knowledgeable, candid employees. Yes, they are pricey. I have found their effort, concern and professionalism worth it.

Great customer care (although you do pay for it). I found some really wonderful glasses but after a weekend with them I had an issue that I should have realized prior to buying them. I brought them back and although they couldn't return them for me, they fixed the issue at no cost (something that should have cost a pretty penny). All that just to keep me happy even though it was my fault to begin with! On a separate visit, they also helped out my boyfriend although he had never been a customer of theirs.

I recently stopped in on my quest to find a new pair of glasses, and even though I didn't end up finding anything in my price range (I will spend $500 on a nice pair of glasses, not $1,000...), the staff was attentive and helpful.

Specs runs the best business I have seen in a long time. First off, I was set for new glasses by a personable and remarkably friendly staff. They dialed in my accurate prescription and fitted me with fantastic frames. They even expedited my order to completion in 2 business days!

My trip to Specs started out great when the door was opened for me as I approached by an older gentleman who welcomed me to the store. He introduced himself as John, the owner, and then proceeded to take me on a tour of the store where we discussed what I was looking for in a frame as well as what I was trying to say with my glasses. My friend and I (both mid-forties, a photographer and a physician) stopped in to Specs on a lunch break. We were greeted by John, the owner. He asked me if I had been to Specs before. When I replied yes, he inquired as to why I hadn't purchased anything (which was a bit off putting). I said that I had found a deal on my current glasses. I lowered their stars even further because I recently got attitude about buying frames online (which I've done in the past). I called for a piece of info on my prescription and instead of explaining what the numbers meant, the guy on the phone basically talked over me and then hung up. I had to call back to clarify and someone else did the same thing.
These people have some customer service issues and seem to forget that not everyone who gets their eyes checked there can afford to buy frames there. And know EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD ABOUT GLASSES.

Wow, was I shocked with this place...and in the best way possible. I was in Minneapolis hankering for some new sunglasses. I had seen a couple of places online and decided to just wander around and see what I'd find. Went first to another shop in Uptown. The guy helping me was very nice, but a bit too eager and everything he showed me was WAY out of my budget.

I love these guys! They are the best shop in town bar none. I have bought 4 pairs of glasses from them in the past few years and I get nothing but the highest level of customer service. The service is also just impeccable -- everyone who works there genuinely loves glasses, and they are excited to help you find glasses that are unique and suit you perfectly.
