I am so grateful to have found Uptown Eyeswear! In particular, I appreciate how Younes treats each customer with kindness and attention. He is a master at guiding customers to find the perfect frames from his extensive inventory. Even though it takes more than an hour to drive here, it is worth it. Great glasses and I loved the eye doctor but their communication and customer service could use some work. I ordered contacts in August, and after numerous attempts of contacting them about the status of my order, was given the run-around. They never once called me to update me on the status. Did not end up receiving my contacts until April when I was on my last pair. Had they not arrived the week that they did I would have been out of contacts and out of luck. Great selection of glasses but will not be returning.

When they opened the store it was inexpensive, fast, friendly, good service. I have purchased a dozen pairs of glasses over the years. Last time the lost a pair of expensive frames that I was just getting new lenses and replaced with a cheap but acceptable frame. This time the price has jumped to over $300. each for two pairs of glasses. I wanted them for trip to NY. I was told that I would have them in four business days. A week later they still had not come.

Love love love my new glasses!! I get more compliments from complete strangers (and friends, but do they count?) than I ever have on my faux wood geek chic styled cat-eye frame. I found this TINY little store just a half block down from Bryant Lake Bowl using a Groupon... I doubt I ever would have found them without the "deal" -- Seriously, Their selection of hip frames is better than any of the top eye glass boutiques in town (and I've shopped them all) but what's more is that you can hardly believe their prices. They helped me pick the perfect pair for my face shape, and the service was great

I love this shop! I have been purchasing glasses from them since they first opened their other smaller shop years ago. Younes is wonderful, he gives honest answers and excellent guidance about which frames work on your face. He truly cares about each customers experience. The prices are great, selection much larger than you would expect from a small shop...lots of very cool styles! If you are looking for glasses you have to stop here!

I've been going to Uptown Eyeswear since they first opened, drawn in by a Groupon/Living Social deal. I have since gotten 4 pairs of glasses and sunglasses there. They do a fantastic job making sure the frames you try on fit your face and style (plus they're pretty hip). What's really awesome is that when I pop in to get my frames tightened or adjusted they remember who I am and provide excellent customer service. I recommend this spot to anyone who needs corrective lenses.

If you're looking for a place to purchase new glasses, I highly recommend going here. The customer service is remarkable; a perfect balance between helpful, knowledgeable, professional and kind. The selection at this store is so great that it makes it hard to choose just one pair- I left with two and my friend who just came to help me left with a new pair!

Fantastic service! I've found that they put US (the customers) first, which I value. I had a pair of frames that I purchased from the shop, but ended up not wearing them much because of the way they fit. The next time I was in the shop, I was asked how my frames were working out for me. I voiced my concerns and ended up getting them exchanged free of charge! WOW! I definitely didn't expect that kind of service. Bravo! I wear my new frames all the time now, and love the way they look on me (thanks to the shops suggestions!!)

This was my first time coming to this place. Customer service is excellent and I got good advice. Both my wife and I bought glasses. They have a good selection for both men and ladies. We needed to go back to because my wife is a first time eye glasses wearer. The owner was very helpful and adjusted the glasses and was willing to replace the lenses if needed.

I've never written a Yelp review before and I never thought I would-- I don't think it's a neutral platform for reviewing a business' performance, especially as it relates to negative reviews. Such a great experience! Moulay is the owner of this quaint little office. I wanted someone to help me find a pair of glasses that actually fit my face, that sits properly on the bridge of my nose, and that looks good with the shape of my face. Moulay did just this, it was exceptional customer service! Dr. Hagemo did my eye exam and measured me for a contact fitting, and provided the same type of quality customer service. I recommend Uptown Eyeswear for anyone looking for that small business feel, with quality products and service!

I stopped into this small family-run business with my girlfriend this afternoon. I was quickly met with a smile, an offer to hang my coat, and a level of customer service that you simply don't see in the faux-wood, florescently-lit eyeglass stores of today. The owner's near-instantaneous assessment of my face, personality, and needs produced the exact frames that I had been imagining (telepathy, perhaps?) and although he insisted that I try on two or twenty more pairs, critically analyzing each, we finally settled on the first pair. Haven’t had glasses in years. Decided to try Uptown Eyeswear first after researching all the local shops and finding a Groupon. Salesman named Tom helped me choose a fitting style after trying on half the store. Laid back no pressure atmosphere where you can take your time. After getting home from picking the glasses up I noticed a small dent on the front of frames. They replaced my glasses and let me keep the damaged ones, free of charge. Overall outstanding service, great frame selection, and I’ll be going back here for my next pair.

Fantastic service! I came in looking for new glasses because I broke mine and I'm a few months away from my insurance rolling over for the new year. Younes helped me pick out and price some glasses. I talked about how the ones I was wearing felt loose so he took a few minutes to help make them fit much better by bending the frames. I went to a few other shops and couldn't find anywhere with the same selection and prices. When I went back Younes remembered me by name, the frames we selected and where I worked. I had an amazing experience here! I came with a groupon and the owner was extremely helpful in picking out frames that look great. Also when I accidentally sat on my frames a few weeks later, and almost ruined them, he offered me an extremely affordable solution and fixed them for me on the spot. What a GREAT experience! I have been wearing glasses all my life and this place is above and beyond the rest. I walked in and was greeted right away. They got out a tray and let me look around ( as I requested) without the usual in your face sales pitch and pressure to buy. I picked a few and they picked some they thought I would like. I got one of the pairs they choose. Very pleased with my glasses and they came on time.

Owner assisted me in selecting a great looking frame (very appreciated, since I've never had anyone spend time helping me select frames and give me an honest appraisal of what frames look best). I was even able to bring in a frame with lenses that no longer were my current prescription and have them reset with new lenses. I highly recommend this shop.
