They are scam artists, do not go here!!
I went in for TMJ problems and the doctor looked in my mouth for under a minute and then told me I had a bad overbite and a number of other issues, but that I would have to pay $500 for x-rays and and an exact diagnosis. He said that I would definitely need braces to correct these problems, and that a TMJ splint would be impossible to make and not covered by insurance. He seriously made it sound as though my teeth were severely messed up.
I thought this was very strange because I've gotten a lot of dental work done in the past and was never told I

We were referred to Dr Abar's office from my dentist's office. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful Dr as him for my 2 children's braces who had extreme overbites. Every other Orthodontist suggested only surgeries and Dr Abar was the only one who took the task and fixed their bite and beautiful faces with braces and no jaw surgeries. We will be thankful for lifetime and grateful to have him as our orthodontist.

I recently referred a friend to Dr. Abar orthodontics. I was very disappointed to find out how much my friend was going to get charged for basic metal braces and the fee she got charged for just 1 consultation. My husband, myself, and daughter all got out braces done here. The 3 of us did not get charged that amount for each of our treatments. If I knew this office was going to charge her this much, I would have not referred her. I referred her because, Dr. Abar and the team did a really good job with each of our treatments and the cost was affordable. My friend left very disappointed and

Dr. Abar was recommended to us through our primary dentist. The staff at Abar Orthodontics is bar none. They are always kind and courteous when visiting and calling with appointment reminders. Even through the pandemic, the staff made sure to keep patients up to date with protocols and procedures leading up to appointments. The dental assistants were always gentle between my teenage daughters and myself I think I am the most sensitive and they were always cautious when doing tightenings. It was always appreciated.

They don't care about the happiness of the patient. It's all about the walking advertisement. They make way too many appointments in one day so if you make an appointment at 930am expect to be there till about noon. They claim to do all they can as far as money accommodations for low income people but they are very clearly only worried about getting paid.

I had to write this review to express my disappointment with the office of Dr Abbar's customer service. My son went in to have his retainers replaced (after losing them). They didn't allow parents. Which was fine, but i didnt like that the doctor came to talk to me outside in front of multiple other families. They also wouldn't allow him to use the restroom. I get that we're in the middle of a pandemic, but really? We literally had to drive 30 minutes home after his appt before he could go. Why open your office if you cant provide basic accomodations to patients? Especially

They add fees on top of fees, always find something to charge for, it's a rip off.
When there are question regarding the process of treatment or why a bracket "broke", they will blame you! They say only something as hard as a rock can brake it, so we ate rocks? Lol. It's ridiculous, because it wasn't broken until the assistant took the wire off! Then they yell loud that if a bracket, band, "anything" is broken it's because of the patient! They don't care

I wish I could give a negative review. This place is a money hungry, selfish, greedy, lazy office staff... shall I go on? We had a consultation for my daughter and this place was PACKED! SOCIAL DISTANCING was non existent. I was so uncomfortable from the moment I walked in the door. It only got worse after meeting with Dr. Abar and then talking with his rude office staff, which by the way, made NO EYE CONTACT with me, like she knew she was doing wrong. They made me pay the full amount due while my daughter was already getting things done in the back without having me know the cost FIRST. I

We were referred by our children's dentist, Dr. Zander Lin to come here. It was very busy here, it was hard to find a seat. Though all the staff were courteous.

My son got his braces here and we had great experience. Since then, we have sent several family members here. Dr Abar is excellent at what he does. My son is always been treated nicely and Dr Abars staff helped with multiple dental emergencies. We are very appreciative of his help. Highly recommended.

I'm so confused why there are bad reviews on here because Dr. Abar is amazing! I had braces on from 2012-2014, and since then both my brothers have also received treatment Dr. Abar is super flexible with his payment plans. Dr. Chiu and the rest of the staff are super friendly. My teeth still look amazing till this day, and many people ask me where I got my braces done at.

I don't recommend this orthodontist. My teeth look nice in the front, but I now have gaps in between my molers that tend to get so much food stuck in them that it's difficult to floss and get it all out. I have multiple areas where my gum line had receded which requires me to have 4-6 numbing shots just to get a standard cleaning. I was getting "adjustments" every month for 2 years and for at least 6 months they weren't adjusting anything and were just replacing bands and putting them in the exact same position. I'm sure they do that to justify the amount of money

I am a new patient. Dr. Abar and his staff did a wonderful job with my braces. I came in for a free consultation and left with brackets on my teeth. My wires will be placed next week. The efficiency is amazing. They also worked with me financially, because I didn't have ortho insurance. I was able to put a down payment and set up monthly installments. If I knew it was going to be this easy, I would have done this a lot sooner. Nonetheless, I had a great experience. Based on my initial visit, I have high hopes we build a get relationship on my path to a better and healthier smile.

Do NOT go here. In my opinion Dr. Abar is very unethical. He tells you that you can get a "free" consultation, then if you decide on another Ortodontist end up with a bill for the consultation. I tried talking to him about it, and he became very angry, and made me very uncomfortable. I would be very cautious and get things in writing if working with him.
By the way, I got 4 consultations and Dr. Abar was the only one to do this.
