A Fairfield native, Imogene Wilson- the driving force behind Alchemy, the Salon- has spent 12 years behind the chair, both in Florida and Connecticut, and is committed to bringing out the inner beauty in each of her clients. Imogene specializes in dimensional color and balayage painting techniques, leaving your hair looking sunkissed, lived-in, and natural, whether dark or light!
She loves cutting short hair (bobs, lobs and pixies) and doing a lot of razor work in order to create fashionable and flattering shapes. She is also a magician with curly hair (dry cutting) and knows how to compliment each client's individual features. When she is not in the salon, Imogene is one of five Matrix Artistic Educators in the state of Connecticut, where she travels throughout New England teaching color techniques to other hairstylists.

Services
Children under 10 years old (and any additional guests) are not allowed on the salon floor unless they are having a service performed. We strive to maintain a quiet and cozy environment for our clients to be able to relax & escape from the everyday stresses of daily life, and we want to ensure each client gets the one-on-one attention they deserve during their salon visit.
Same building as Tequila Revolucion, directly across the street from Hemlock Hardware. There is on street parking on Post Road, as well on Bungalow Ave, and a parking lot in the back. The entrance is around the front, first door on the right side of the building. Directions from 95 Southbound: Get off at Exit 21, take a left off the ramp.

Love this adorable salon and especially the owner Imogene! I started seeing her for cuts after I went WAY too long without one during COVID. She's personable, efficient, and I always walk away with a style I love. Convenient location right on Post Road as well. Highly recommend!

Alchemy is such a great salon and Ashley Colica is an amazing stylist! I am so happy I started to see her earlier this year because I have been super happy each time I left the salon.
I just went in for a balayage the other day and as she was drying my hair, instead of just letting me leave with a product she wasn’t 100% confident in, she took me back to the sink for a root smudge. And I have to say… I. Am. Obsessed. And so is everyone who has seen me with my new color!!!!

I've found the perfect salon! Every time I come to this salon I'm greeted with smiling faces and a welcoming ambience. All of the ladies who work here are lovely. I have seen Mercedes a handful of times and she will go above and beyond to make you happy. She really listens and likes to make sure you have healthy, gorgeous hair! Go here!

I am so happy I found Ashley (via IG)!! Prior to booking an appointment, I reached out to her on Instagram and she was incredibly responsive! We spoke about my hair history and I sent her some inspiration photos of what look I wanted to achieve next. She gave great feedback and made sure I was comfortable and excited about my decision.
When I got there, the salon was clean and welcoming. The entrance was a little tricky to find if you're not familiar with the salon, but it didn't take long to figure out.

I absolutely love the VIBE at Alchemy Salon. The decor reminds me of a NYC loft!! I always see Ashley Colica and I've had fabulous results with my various color treatments, haircuts, & keratin treatment. Ashley is always very attentive, courteous, & very talented with color!

I booked with Ashley C. as a first time client. Being new to the area it was very hard to find a trust worthy salon and stylist to do my color. The second I met with Ashley I felt as though I was in good hands with my hair and took her advice regarding the coloring. She absolutely nailed what I wanted, and did a phenomenal job with my highlights. Aside from that she went out of her way to fit me into her schedule on a Sunday. The entire salon was professional, clean and welcoming. I’m so happy to have found a new salon too call home. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Prior to seeing Ashley C. I had a rough experience with a different salon and a stylist who didn’t truly listen to me. I’m new to the area and before that I had been seeing the same stylist for about 10 years, so there were some big shoes to fill right off the bat. Ashley filled them. Ashley really listened to me (and let me tell you, I’m not the most articulate when it comes to explaining what I want with my hair!) and helped me understand what I was looking for in my hair color. I was so happy with my experience at Alchemy! Imogene, the salon's owner, was kind and responsive and helpful in setting up my appointment. I described what I was looking for (blonde highlights, a gloss, and a cut), and she set me up with Jess for the appointment.
Jess is fantastic. I really enjoyed my time with her. She took the time to talk through my specific needs and goals and gave me perfect highlights and a really great fresh haircut. I came to Alchemy for the first time this month for a cut with Roxie, who has been styling my hair for several years now. First of all, Roxie is an amazingly talented stylist with a wonerful eye. As always, she gave me a great haircut. Second, Alchemy The Salon is absolutely charming! It's clean, well-appointed and has an overall great vibe. I'll be back!!

I have been going to Imogene for nearly three years now. She is a dedicated stylist who continues her education and is always up on the latest styles and trends. Imogene is the best! She gives great haircuts and the entire experience is so great. After trying several stylists in Fairfield County, I found Imogene about a year ago and have stuck with her since.
I am relieved I no longer have to deal with disappointing haircuts and the search for a new stylist. She is a great listener and is very skilled. Very consistent high quality work for a fair price. I highly recommend.

Imogene is the best !!! I always leave her salon feeling beautiful!! She is very patient and listens to her clients goals. She gives each client a lot of personalized attention and the results are incredible. I have been to numerous salon's in Fairfield County and never have found a hairdresser as amazing as Imogene. Previous to finding Imogene, I had been with my stylist for a decade! I am very loyal but Imogene is so good and accommodating that I made the switch. Imogene does beautiful work and she takes great care in making sure her clients look and feel great.
I appreciate how professional Imogene is. She has the unusual personality combination of being creative, fun, and organized. Her clients run the gamut - male/female, teenagers, early career, middle aged and older. One unexpected benefit is that I have met the nicest people in her salon.

I have been seeing Imogene for over a year and could not be happier!! Whether it's a simple blowdry, color, or a haircut she always does an absolutely amazing job! I have recommended friends and family to her and they love her as well. So happy to see her have her own salon, she deserves it!
