Dr. Brandemihl is a board certified general Psychiatrist specializing in medication management and psychotherapy for adult patients and adolescents in their late teens. He is experienced in treating a variety of disorders including ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Panic Attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Mood Swings, Anger Management Issues and Substance Abuse Problems.
A graduate of The Ohio State University's College of Medicine, Dr. Brandemihl also completed his psychiatric residency training program at OSU. He remains active with Ohio State, as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, teaching first year medical students as well as resident physicians and also has served on the medical school's admission committee.

A psychiatric assessment with Dr. Adam Brandemihl is an approximately forty-five minute appointment, utilizing a bio-psycho-social approach to establish a probable diagnosis and a recommended treatment plan. Prior to the appointment the patient is encouraged to fill out an 'Intake Form either at the office or downloaded from the website.
For privacy purposes, Dr. Brandemihl prefers not to communicate with his clients regarding clinical issues by e-mail. Inquiries regarding psychiatric assessments are welcomed. Buckeye Psychiatry, LLC offers psychiatric assessment, psychotherapy and medication management. New patient appointments are typically available within 1 - 2 weeks.

Dr. Brandemihl is an awesome doctor. I've been going to him for years now. And I've recommended him to many of my friends and family. His practice makes scheduling and payments really easy and convenient. But the most important thing is the appointments themselves, which Dr. Brandemihl makes really easy and convenient. IMO ease and efficiency are the most important factors in taking care of my mental health. And, for me, Buckeye Psychiatry has made the burden of taking care of my mental health less burdensome. Really can't say enough good things about this practice.

Dr. Brandemihl is expensive, condescending, and hard to reach. I had several telehealth appointments with him and never felt like he cared about me or understood my problems. He is not empathetic and came off rudely on multiple occasions, including when I asked him relevant questions about medication. I would recommend looking for other options.

The medical and mental help I have received from Dr Brandemihl could not have come at a better time in my life. I was experiencing a larger than life Spiritual encounter after a NDE,the anxiety is always through the roof but Dr. Brandemihl helps me with the only med that gets me through this.Because of COVID-19 I have not met the new staff, but I hope to one day.I am 65 and have been seeing Dr.Brandemihl for 10 years and not about to stop! Thanks again Dr. for all your help and keeping my sanity in check.

Looks like there must be two psychiatrists in the area named Adam Brandemihl because the one I’ve been going to for the past 12 years bears no resemblance to the guy getting all the bad press here. Dr. B is not only the best psychiatrist I’ve seen but the best doc in any specialty I’ve been to. I’ve referred everyone who I believe could benefit from his highly knowledgeable and compassionate care. To me, he’s as much like a friend as he is a fine physician.

If you like gambling, you'll love Buckeye Psychiatry.
I was told on Monday that my prescription would be ready by noon on Tuesday. I called Tuesday and was told to wait for a phone call to tell me that the script was ready for pick up. I never got a call, I went to their office around 5 and there was no prescription there and I couldn't get a hold of anyone.
Now it's Wednesday and they don't come into the office on Wednesday! I've been off my meds since Sunday. Maybe tomorrow will be the day they actually give me some info!

I have been trying to reach them since last Wednesday. If you have not heard back from the office like myself-whom just drove over here, and the other patient that also stopped by looking for answers, there are prescriptions in envelopes with your name on it for stimulants.. Like the other patient and myself.. There were no prescriptions in there for us. But there are about 25 in the mailbox. Best of luck.

Dr. Brandemihl is good at what he does. His prices are competitive compared to other psychiatrists, but he doesn't sacrifice quality in his work. My only issue is that sometimes I've had to reach out to the receptionist multiple times to get a reply. This could be due to unusually high patient volume, but nonetheless it shouldn't be happening. Most of the time, though, it's not a problem.

My boyfriend has been going to Buckeye Psychiatry for about two years now and absolutely loves Dr. B; however, after the first appointment it became increasingly difficult to get in contact with the office. The staff does not answer the phones, texts, or even voicemails. As someone who also suffers from anxiety, to watch him not be able to pick up his medication because they simply don't fill it when they say they are going to is heartbreaking. The appointments are also incredibly expensive, which is understandable if the service was good. He suffers from consistent panic attacks and his medication

Went to him for treatment for depression and ADD and he told me that he thought I was lying about my symptoms and just chasing a high from drugs. Even after opening up and going to him multiple times he never ceased to belittle me and my problems and make me feel bad about myself. He also told me that I wasn't really depressed and told my parents that I was lying about how I felt on a regular basis. Really terrible "doctor". Do not waste your money here.

I love Dr. Brandemihl! He's been my doctor for over 3 years now and I feel super comfortable with him. He is caring and always remembers details about my family and friends. I like that I can get scheduled quickly with him when I need it and I like that he has such a good sense of humor. I am kind of surprised at the bad review here...I've always had a great experience.

I've been seeing Dr. Brandemihl for about a year now. He's a nice guy. I only see him for 15 min. at a time, and then I used to see a therapist that shared the office with him, well, with her own room anyway. I got frustrated at always having to wait when there were appointments so I stopped going to her. He isn't quite as bad with timing. Only down side is that its quite expensive for a very short meet and greet.
