I got pink slipped into here from Knox County, this place is worse than the workhouse and fcc. The food is terrible, staff is unprofessional and disrespectful. Once in my condition got worse from anxiety, also this is not a hospital. I require medical treatment they could not provide. They didn’t even feed me for 3 days!!! I filled complaints that were never followed up on

Before coming to this place, I was in nursing school and worked at a local hospital. After having an incredibly traumatic stay at Ohio hospital for psychiatry, I have put a hold on nursing school and quit my job since I can’t drive past a hospital without bursting into tears and having a PTSD reaction. I was transported here from an ER and not a single person here evaluated me- not even the intake person. They put me in adult behavioral unit where nobody knew that I was going through serious opioid withdrawal until I told them- even though I told intake person. Over the next few days, I was not

No one answers the phone, it's almost impossible to know what is going on with your loved one. Front desk staff on second shift was rude. Said my husband was "being bad". (Who has that about a patient who being treated for psychosis?!) He came home with bruised ribs, he says he remembers getting punched by a man who works there?? Take your loved one some where else, the reviews are the truth. Not exaggerated. Sad that they treat people this way who need help.

Wish I could rate a 0/5. Staff needs an attitude adjustment. You’re treated like a prisoner here. Second time being here and can say that both experiences were awful. Bathrooms and rooms were disgusting. Terrible smell. I’ve never met such unfriendly staff. There were only about two techs who actually treated me like a real human being (Ms. Betty was a sweetheart). Other than that, you’re looked at and talked to like you’re less than human. Treat us like people! I’m surprised this place is still allowed to treat patients. Should be shut down for good.

Absolute worst place EVER. Seriously, the worst. Men and women shared showers and there was mold in the showers! Facilities are the worst. Care is sub-par. If you have good insurance, they try to keep you in there. They threatened to have the sheriff arrest me if I tried to check myself out. It was AWFUL. This place is one flew over the coo coo's nest. HORRIBLE. Worst experience ever, no joke. Causes more trauma being in there than when I went it.

This is the worst place to receive Mental Health treatment at. Ultimately, they will play with your meds and make you jump through hoops just to receive the medication that's actually working for you. Then they will act like it's you who doesn't want to be on the medications, when it is the total opposite. By law, family isn't supposed to be involved with your care here, but they go behind your back and involve your family, even when family is clearly unsupportive of you and your care. This place has given me trust issues when it comes to my Mental Health. You will only jump through hoops for your

Read the reviews. They are accurate. A loved one was admitted there without us having an opportunity to research. If we would have had that luxury, he would have never gone to Ohio Hospital. The staff will not talk to family, even if the appropriate releases have been signed. I had to tell them to go give him a release. Then, they asked HIM what to say. The release was permission to discuss medical information, so... why would they not just answer my questions? He told them to tell me everything. After that, they still couldn’t provide a patient care plan. They said they don’t really do those

My son was transferred to this facility from Aultman Hospital last Wednesday. A week later, and I've only talked to the Nurse Practitioner one time, and left numerous messages to be called back and given updates on his progress etc. They have bad attitudes and I work in Healthcare and know it dont take that long to make a call and update a parent. If I ever run into a mental health crisis with my son again, I've told the group home he is NOT to be sent back here. They don't even answer the phones after 8pm!!!! My son is oblivious to what is going on and this isn't the place for help... it's not

My son was admitted in November for support for anxiety disorder and addiction. OHP says they focus on dual diagnosis excellence and I have to say, this was no where to be found. Literally all they did was feed him and medicate him. He slept most day and night, seen a doc once in a week, no activities or programs. I had to call 3 times to ask them to get him some reading material crosswords etc. Group meetings rarely happened and they don't even encourage their patients to attend. I am a VP for a health care company and would refer to this hospital in the past, and I now feel ashamed I did this
