Barb City Automotive first welcomed DeKalb area drivers in December of 1985. We started with one technician - our owner, John Volkert - and ever since, we have been building our reputation for excellence in servicing and repairing all types of vehicles, both import and domestic. As a family-owned business, we always put family first, including yours.
At Barb City Automotive, we focus on providing general auto repair services for domestic and Asian cars and light trucks, handling everything from maintenance basics like oil changes and tune-ups to the complexities of auto diagnostics and electrical repair. Our mechanics are also tire and alignment experts.
Unless your vehicle requires premium gasoline, filling up your vehicle with high-octane gas is a waste of money. The premium gas doesn't boost your gas mileage or performance. If you're not sure what grade works best for your vehicle, your owner's manual will tell you. You can also ask your mechanic what grade to use.

These are just some of the things I have recently had done on my cars. Through the years I have had almost every type of repair service performed by them on my cars and trucks.
