Dan is fantastic! He checks absolutely everything and gives you a detailed list of all the things that might need attention, including how urgent the repair may be! His information kept us from purchasing a home that needed EXTENSIVE work and landed us a fantastic house that was move-in ready. Dan Kopp with Valley Home Inspection performed a thorough new construction inspection of our recently completed new home. We were very pleased with the inspection and the detailed report of what he found. Even a new home built by a reputable and what we have found to be a, in most regards, a quality builder is only as good as their subcontractors. Dan found a significant punch list of items that had not been done well and needed to be repaired or completed properly before the close of escrow. The builder assured us the list would be corrected. Dan Kopp is a consummate professional and did a fantastic job. I was looking to have my home inspected before listing it for sale in order to provide prospective buyers information about the status of my home prior to bidding, and also to help identify items that could be addressed prior to it being listed for sale.
Following the inspection Dan sat down with me and went over all of the recommendations for items he found, and provided a report with color pictures that showed all of the items he discussed. Dan identified several items that a previous inspector missed when I purchased the home.

I have used Valley home inspection two times before and Dan does an outstanding job. Your property will be inspected from roof to crawlspace and everything in-between. I always use Valley home inspection because they have found many issues that I would have never seen but would have been stuck fixing after I closed escrow. Case in point. I am in the process of buying a new house. The builder wanted me to close escrow because they said the house was ready. Before signing to buy the house we called Dan at Valley home inspection. This inspector is a fraud. Never use him. He inspected our home that was for sale and the home was only 3 years old. He wrote me up about faulty and leaky exterior hose bibs. They did not leak. He mandated I replace these. They were anti-syphon hose bibs that release excess water out of the tube after they are turned off. They are designed to do this to prevent freezing. The words anti-syphon (to prevent freezing) were written on top of the hose bib. The bibs worked perfectly. He also said we never had a furnace inspection, when our furnace had a sticker by a local HVAC company that

Professional, very thorough and knowledgeable about a wide array of issues impacting buildings. Dan has inspected each of our homes (even new construction) and rentals and has provided a detailed inspection report so we know what to expect for improvements. This inspector was just gross. During the inspection he continually would hack up loogies and spit them in the sink. The property was still occupied by renters and he gave no regard to them. He was very inconsiderate. He never once thought about putting things back the way he found them. I would recommend you use anyone else.
