I received a quote online and it was a better price than Hagerty. I wanted to move forward with the process for insuring my 1967 Mustang Fastback. There was a list sent to me. I had the items I needed on the list and called to ask if there was a way to email everything. The gal I spoke to was rude and condescending stating that "it's on there several times". Well, it isn't. There is no email address on the form they sent and the email address they sent the form from had an automatic reply with no help. The email address she gave me was wrong as well. I called Hagerty and they

This company is a joke. Super disorganized, their system is antiquated. The website info for submitting isn't accurate, and then it then took them 4 weeks to decide my 2 cars aren't "collectors". Yes, yes they are. They are very limited production, registered as Collectors...maybe they don't even know what they are lol. Clueless company. Probably for the best, I'd hate to try to have a claim with this company!

We had been with Grundy for 15-16 years and never had a claim until this year. Some idiot drove through a road construction lane with gravel and threw that gravel all over my car. Which caused the paint to have stone chips. I put a claim in, they sent out an adjuster. Also Grundy takes your money for the policy but the claim is with Philadelphia Insurance. In about two weeks they notified me that my car was a total loss, and we had never had it to a body shop by this time, so how could they say it was a total loss. The adjusters quote was less than what they were willing to pay us before it became

Had the same issue as others posted, attempted to receive a quote from Grundy for a large collection. They are underwritten by AIG, who rejected issuing a policy to me because of comprehensive claims within the 5 years that included the following:
* Damage by a transporter moving a vehicle who had a $5000 deductible and refused to take my calls after the damage.
* Damage from being parked underneath a leaking vehicle at an external shop
* Hail damage to my regular use vehicle.
As you can see all 3 of those items are acts of nature and well beyond my control. But yet they will say they cannot

I called a week ago to get Insurance on my 52 year old classic car and filled out their quote page and sent more pics than they required. Spoke to the agent and she said that it would take 24-48 hours for approval. Not only did they not bother to EVER contact me, after I called a almost a week later they said they declined the policy because they didn't have any values to base it on. It's not that rare a car. These guys only apparently do cars that they see on the street every day. I went to HAGERTY INSURANCE and got insured IMMEDIATELY. I learned my lesson, Take my advice, use HAGERTY

Horrible experience!!!! I received a quote and sent them all the information they asked and it took them two days to get back to me. They asked for more information and I called the company and talked to a Rep and she had this smirk attitude saying that I need to send them what they asked for in the email. I just hung up and called my insurance company and they did everything on the phone. I received all the info in a Docu Sign format and sent it back all in 24 hours done. Do not waste your time!!!!

Absolutely the WORST insurance company that I've ever had! Grundy falsely represents themselves as a still autonomous company in their ads.....THEY'RE NOT.....they are owned by Philadelphia Insurance Co. So all that blather you see in their ads about their corporate history, care and conscience is just that, blather.
I had numerous collector cars insured with agreed value coverage through Grundy, including a '69 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL, a '54 Cadillac Eldorado and my '92 Oldsmobile convertible, etc. A guy hit my Olds, so I immediately turned his information and details

Extremely disappointed. Horrible customer service.
Intake was seemingly easy. Was very transparent about current vehicle condition and the restoration process to follow. Was told "no issue" and received paperwork to sign etc. 24 hours later received a denial of coverage because "vehicle is not show worthy" among other reasons which did not make sense. Upon calling them and re-discussing, I was told an underwriter would make further consideration. Drove back to storage to take pictures of vehicle in garage and signed more paperwork. After multiple emails from 3 different people

I asked 3 times in 5 phone calls in 4 days for a supervisor.......(never happened) All supervisores must be at a biden rally........
Haggerty took 10 mins to insure 3 cars and trucks and a complete pleasure to deal with.........

I hope you find this review before you waste your time with this company. I also wish I could have seen similar before I bothered trying to obtain a policy from Grundy. If you get nothing else from this review - think twice about even pursuing it.
Went to insure a 30-year-old modern classic. Used the (horrifically clunky) website, submitted a value, got the quote sent in the application. Truthfully stated this was going to be primarily a show vehicle; I was fine with that.
First snag: if you want the rates for a historic registration but you don't yet have a historic plate on your car -

I tried to insure a Ferrari F12 with them. Worst service ever! After asking me to send all kinds of pixs of the car and garage, of the title, and what have you, they sent me a form to sign that I can't drive it to work. That is after I told them that it is a pleasure car and I am not going to use it for errands or going to the malls.
Max 2,500 miles/ year, private garage etc
There is no way to drive it one day a week to work.
Stay away from them. They have tricky stipulations all over, so they wouldn't pay any legitimate claims.
Total waste of time. They prey on wealthy old guys that

After believing the claims on their website, filling out the extensive application, and mailing in pictures and payment, Grundy declined to offer me insurance. Their website boasts: "unlimited miles" and "It is even OK if occasionally you drive your collector car to work". Don't believe it. These are the exact things they declined me for. After I submitted my application they followed up by sending me one last quick form to sign and asked about the estimated mileage I had submitted on my application. First, the form they wanted me to sign said "It will not be

Horrible...... Told me that the vehicle I was trying to insure was not garaged at my address, got up walked out into my garage and yes the car was still there just the same as it has been for the last 30 plus years. Told me that vehicle mileage is excessive for collector use, twenty two hundred miles a year is excessive......OK. Vehicle is not in my name, correct ! and that's exactly why I need the insurance card in my name so that I can go down to DMV and register and title the vehicle in my name, vehicle gifted to me from my mother, she does not drive anymore. Last but not least, all household

The insurance agency in the world. I had two collector cars on a policy and added a third. Somehow they managed to lose the payment and cancelled the entire prepaid policy befor e a weekend. Now I have three collector cars that have no insurance. That sounds bad but it gets worse. They also have a ban in CA where I live and even if I fix the paperwork they still will not bind the insurance and another carrier was able to take care of it within a hour. DO NOT use Grundy, the small savings is not worth the hassle of dealing with the staff they use.

I've been trying for 2 weeks to get an insurance quote for my 1987 63' Hatteras motor yacht. I sent in my completed application and complete survey which was done in the past month. I have been unable to have the underwriter give me a quote for insuring the yacht. Megan at Grundy has been very friendly but whoever is her supervisor in underwriting lacks basic business sense. I want a quote so I CAN GIVE YOU MONEY. Needless to say I'm over it and have bought coverage through Markel.
