One of the first steps in managing a DUI charge is to request a DMV hearing regarding your case. This hearing is a preventative measure to ensure that you will still be able to drive while your case is being processed. Filing for a DMV hearing is a time-sensitive event, as this action must be completed within ten days following your arrest.
For a first DUI offense, your license was administratively suspended for four months and for the first thirty days, "no driving." After the first thirty days, you could jump through some hoops and get a restricted license allowing you to drive to work and to a DUI program. For second DUIs, the "no drive" suspension period was a year, and on a third, two years.

Note: Don't let my google name fool you. It's the garden that has taught me how to be patience, compassionate and amongst many other things. In my many years I have dealt with many attorneys. Now that I'm in my 50's I decided to get a pardon so that my gun rights and all others rights would be restored. I called Attorney Kaizuka. After consulting with him he looked up my record and stated no need to do a pardon because my 2 cases from 97' and 2004 were both 242 pc. He stated I'm not barred from purchasing or owning a gun and again no need for a pardon. I offered to pay consultation fees to him

A member of our family hired Joshua to expunge a false arrest (he was falsely accused of and arrested for domestic violence by his then estranged and now ex-spouse). I should have left a review for Mr Kaizuka a while ago but truth is the matter in which I required his services were not the proudest moments of my life.
