Services
As Symmetry Health Centers founder, I am proud to announce the arrival of our newest and most highly anticipated service, Symmetry Yoga! Yoga rejuvenates the body, quiets the mind, and feeds the spirit. I have practiced yoga in the bay area community for many years, so extensive research and time went into the development of this yoga program.
A playful All Levels Flow class with vignettes of tension releasing postures to provide sweet relief for our work-crazed bodies and wound up minds. This is your chance to reset in the middle of the busy work day and take some time to move and breath. This class is set to upbeat music, in a comfortably cool room, and will offer modifications for beginners and advanced students to support everyone in need of a re-boot!
Symmetry Health Center offers group exercise in it's cutting edge new studio composed of Power Plate Technology, and a certified personal trainer. Power Plate machines use the principles of Acceleration Training to stimulate the body's natural response to vibration.

These vibrations transmit waves of energy throughout the body, activating muscle contractions between 25 and 50 times per second, enhancing overall performance in sessions as short as 15-30 minutes a day, 3 times a week.Acceleration Training with Power Plate machines creates instability in the human body, as with each vibration the body is forced to perform reflexive muscle actions, multiple times per second.

I've only been to one class here at this cute studio but I can already tell, I'll be back. I visit Oakland ALOT and now that my other favorite studio is gone, this will be my new yoga home away from home! Whenever or wherever I travel I like a spot where the vibes are great, the instructor is awesome, the place is clean, the community is warm, friendly and welcoming. Symmetry Yoga had all this plus... Also, there's a bakery next door that had great pastries and Vietnamese coffee!! (I'll save that review for a later visit.) I was VERY happy with my Sunday morning teacher

If you are looking for a workout and only have one hour in your day to exercise, I would not recommend a Symmetry Yoga class. I bought the $49 pass, which is a great deal, and took more than a dozen classes (only ones listed as Vinyasa Flow, Warm Flow, or Fierce Friday). I am a Baptiste yogi and spent a few years teaching for the CorePower brand as well. The physical studio space is nice, but I never saw them cleaning the floor (even between back to back classes). If you look closely enough, you can tell they don't sweep. Many warm classes are not warm because the heat gets turned on

Unfortunately my one and only experience with Symmetry was hugely disappointing. I hope they take this review as a training opportunity. After having to evacuate for several days due to fires in my home town, I ended up with family in Alameda. I found Symmetry studio and signed up for a yoga class. When I arrived I was informed the class was canceled, and that I should have received an email. I hadn't, and the person at the desk argued that I had, but then confirmed I had been the only one not emailed about the cancellation. I asked about a refund, I was told that the only person who can do

I've only been to a couple of yoga studios in Alameda but this one is definitely the best. Every single instructor is exceptional, in their own way, but I want to give a special shoutout to Allison, Nikki, Valerie, Zen, Anne, and Abigail. They've all challenged me in different ways and I really appreciate their styles. Even when the class is completely full, you always have enough room to feel comfortable doing all poses. I'm a monthly member and will continue to be one as long as I can!

I tried this studio out because I felt I wanted to have something to inspire me in my practice and perhaps meet some of the yoga teachers in town. I teach yoga and am a physical therapist and usually do my own practice at home. I did the intro pack for $49. And mostly went to mid day classes. The space is beautiful and air feels fresh.

I will say the front desk staff is not particularly friendly. One woman in particular just seemed like she had something better to do than answer my questions. And was especially rude when I wanted to cancel a scheduled class because I hadn't brought a mat

I've been going here about a week now since yoga alameda closed. So far it's great. There are some familiar faces and new faces. I really like the studio and the people are really nice. I did the intro $49 month and will then do the $99 per month membership. I really want to check out some of their workshops.

Love the place. Very clean, provides lavender and citrus spray in their toilet and you get spoiled with paraphernalia like blocks, ropes, blankets, pillow to assist you with your practice. I am enjoying my unlimited package for new customer. After that, I am not sure if I will be able to continue due it's price. But regardless I would recommend this place.

I've been sampling yoga spots all over the east bay and this is one of my faves so far. I snagged their new client unlimited special for the first month and so far it's . Parking is easy, location is convenient and the instruction is excellent.

Symmetry Yoga is definitely A-Ok. They have a parking lot, there's a great variety of class times, and the space is relaxing with high ceilings and lots of light.

I purchased a 10-class pack and have so far taken 9 classes at varying times. The pace is always pretty slow and easy; even in the flow classes. The instructors are kind and friendly but do seem a little new to teaching for the most part. Lots of insistence on props in most of the classes, and for me I use them when I need them but don't like being pushed. They do have great props, including sand bags and eye-pillows; which

I've been searching for the perfect yoga class for me and have found it with Misia's Tuesday 7am Hatha Yoga. Each class I've been to so far has had a theme (restorative the last week of the month and jet lag the next week). I really appreciate the good music, thoughtful and calm instruction, and her melodic voice. Also, when I couldn't make last week's class on yoga for anxiety/depression, Misia emailed me articles and links for poses to practice at home. This class is a gem and well worth the early wake up!

Love this place! I've taken 2 classes here so far and I plan to get a membership! Both of the yoga teachers (Eri and Grey) we're warm, helpful and nice with graceful instruction. The class room size both times was less then 6 people(unheard of for yoga especially on the weekends!) and building was not freezing or too hot!

I'm really shy in new group settings and this place is no frill, clean, not intimidating and not to mention walking distance to my house. Alameda needed this addition!

In the AM there doesn't seem to be a receptionist but the sign says check in! If you see

I came here for the last Friday of the month Yoga and Live Music 7p-9:30p:). The ambiance is beautiful with candles, soft lighting, and Elissa? playing guitar and singing a myriad of soulful and relaxing songs. The yoga was perfect for a Friday night!! It was not too strenuous but just enough to warm you, bring you into your body, and stretch out any tightness from the work week. They had a sub that night, Grey. Her verbal directions were on point. She simultaneously encouraged us to try something new while empowering us to listen to our bodies and follow what it says to do.

Late but never but this was a great experience. Never have done the Power Plate exercise machine but that kettle balls and that combined changed my mind on quick workouts. Workouts must also be powerful! Until Soon

3 items of note:

1. The instructor Ryan was very gentle and clear in their communication on the benefits.
2. The facilities are up to date and refreshing
3. There is parking!

The first time I went to this yoga studio, the instructor whipped out a ukulele and sang with us as part of the warm-up. The next time I went, the instructor played a tiny piano as we chanted and sang briefly. So nice! Very creative! Never had that experience at any other studio.
The first instructor and I actually have become friends and i'm super grateful I tried this place out! Great energy and talented/experienced instructors.

Restorative and Reiki with Alex on Sunday mornings at 11AM. This is the shizzle.

I was skeptical when I read Reiki, but the first time I did this class was several months ago when I had unlimited Classpass (oh, those halycon days). This is simply a great restorative class and at some point, Alex comes by to hover her hands over your face and impart some good energy (is that what Reiki is??). It's cool.

I think this class is usually filled with women (mostly middle aged or older), but I highly recommend to any gender, any age if you're looking for some relaxation and regeneration. Alex

I'm devoted to Symmetry Health Center because they have saved my life. I am walking around because this is the most integrated health care possible. Dr. Boyd is a genius. She has designed a healing system to avoid the dismal medical services available to most people because of insurance dictation.

The care of the body depends on the skeletal system. After attention is given to your spine, the physical therapy is imperative to a healthy response of your body healing itself. All of the staff is marvelous at Symmetry.

The Yoga classes are designed to meet the needs of the clients. My husband

I have been taking classes at Symmetry Yoga for a little over 3 months, and this place has been a life changer! Every single person that works here has a warm demeanor & a passion for the services they provide. It has quickly become my new home away from home!!

They have different class styles with many amazing teachers and I am currently OBSESSED with:

Alameda finally gained its missing link! I no longer have to trek across the bay bridge to get my spiritual yoga fix. This studio may be new(ish) but its' experienced instructors and calming energy make for a beautiful sanctuary. Comparable to one of my favorite studios, Laughing Lotus, Symmetry Yoga is the perfect balance of zen and physical practices. Nikki, Anna and Elena- just to name a few- are queens of the mat. Friday night flow accompanied with live music (a monthly ritual) is one of the coolest yoga classes I've ever attended. Thanks for making Alameda trendy and my new, local
