Very highly satisfied with work done here on my 2016 ,BMW X5. Have had two major maintenance repairs completed and each were completed on a timely manner and at a fair price (as opposed to being gouged by a dealership repair facility). Very friendly and courteous staff and I will be back with any (and all) future service needs. Highly recommend!

I wanted to buy a car from a BMW dealership in Illinois and live in California. I've called different independent service shop that only works on BMW. when I called Ben at 7th Gear he instantly made me feel comfortable enough to ask him if he could do an inspection before I purchased the CPO Wagon. remember I live in California, long story short. Ben was recommended to me by my ex-husband, and despite that dubious distinction his reputation and other positive feedback caused me to give him a call. The repair was unexpected/unscheduled and Ben was super helpful coordinating a reputable tow service and getting my car to his shop. He gave me a call promptly and after a thorough review gave me an optimistic diagnosis. Those of us who aren't car savvy can feel a bit at the mercy of a mechanic. Absolutely Amazing! Great place to bring your car to a very skilled and super diagnostician to figure out the problem. Met Ben thru BMW CCA and could tell trustworthy immediately. Turns out he is also quite competent and efficient. Has done mods and maintenance on my rare 1M bimmer and I now feel that don't even need to ask how much because I know he will be fair and stand behind his work. HIGHLY recommended, even if it means I might have to wait in line; he deserves success.

I took some time after work to stop into 7th gear and found a clean shop with Ben the owner quietly working on an older BMW. Ben is very approachable and we struck up a conversation. I explained I purchased an older BMW and had a few things I needed done. Ben offered to take a quick look at it and to my surprise it ended up a being a pretty thorough inspection on the lift. I will have 7th Gear do some work on my car and update my review. My initial impression is very good.

Prior to returning from New Jersey, I did a little research on Bimmershops and found 7th Gear. Given I was open to changing shops, I was impressed by the favorable comments and scheduled a radiator replacement on my BMW 5-Series. Ben gave me options which included more work for less than I had originally planned to have done. The quality of work was impeccable and the entire engine compartment was cleaned as well. I live about 45 minutes away, but I have chosen Ben as "the" mechanic for my 5 and whatever M car I get next year.

7th Gear is my mechanic of choice for my 2007 BMW 3 series. Everything from routine maintenance to performance enhancements, I completely trust the work that is being done. In addition to working on BMWs, he is very knowledgeable on various makes and models (foreign and domestic) and I have referred numerous friends and relatives to him for work on their vehicle. Perfect combination of assessment of work that needs to be done, options on how to fix a problem, fair pricing and excellent service.

I have an 06 Mercedes C230. I took it to the dealership for a check engine light. Secondary air pump and SAM=$1600. So I took it to another mechanic and had it repaired for $500. However, the check engine light came on two days later and turns out I needed another pump for $900. I had a check engine light on for a year before I called Ben. Apparently he just opened this shop and specialized in BMW's not Mercedes. I was very reluctant but it's been 3 months and my car runs awesome! No lights and he even took care of my headlight alignment for free. If I hadn't moved to California
