In the State of Illinois, passing the vehicle emissions test (pollution test) is required in order to be able to renew a vehicle's license. Kamphaus Auto Care, Hybrid Repair & Emissions has received an "A" from the State of Illinois for vehicles that had originally not passed the test but did after work was performed at our shop to correct the problems.

I had a great experience with Kamphaus! I made an appointment with Kamphaus last week for a second opinion after another shop told me I had a serious issue with my suspension. As it turns out, there was no issue with the suspension, and Kamphaus saved me from spending alot of money on work I didn't need. I did need tires, so they replaced those for me. These folks are honest, and they do quality work. And it was super convenient that they offer shuttle service so I could continue working while they had my car. I will absolutely be using them for my future repair/maintenance needs.

Went there due to engine light on very expensive repair. After 2 months I engine light came back on. They said Oh bring it back in let us check it again, OK then they said it was gas cap. Week later back on they will nickel and dime you, especially if you're a woman. Do not recommend

Everyone I encountered here was an absolute joy to work with! They are very understanding and up front as well as incredibly kind and polite. They explained everything going on with my vehicle and made sure I understood before proceeding. They let me ask endless questions and never made me feel like I was dumb for asking (I am admittedly very ignorant about cars). Plus the free loaner vehicle was a god send. Definitely a fan!

This place is amazing! I never even parked my car! I had a brake light out, got there just as they were about to close to get the seal coating done on the entire parking lot. They took the time to get the light fixed charged me less than three dollars and had me on my way in less than five minutes. I couldn’t believe it. I really couldn’t believe it $2.91 and immediate service!!! I’ll be back again and again.

I have been using Kamphaus for several years and they always do excellent work on my vehicles. You know what it’s going to cost prior to any work being done and they complete the work generally faster than they said.
Rich and his team are very professional and courteous when dealing with customers, they even have driven me home and picked me up when repairs are completed

Took my Mercedes to Kamphaus for oil and fluid change, along with some other “noises”. Les and everyone were very helpful and informative. I requested a service that I was told was not necessary, which it wasn’t, but any other place would have just charged me to do it. Instead they were upfront and made sure to check everything thoroughly then come back with what was really needed at a reasonable price. Thanks!
