Services
In 1960 Larry Dworzynski leased a Standard Oil service station in Schaumburg, IL (population 986). In the 1980's Standard Oil Co. changed to Amoco (American Oil Co). Larry's son, Dan, at age 31, took over the business in 1990, a short time after his father became ill. In 1997, Amoco approached Dan and the Village of Schaumburg to discuss ending the lease as a service station and converting the business into a mini-mart.
We are a CarQuest and Napa Auto Service Station in Schaumburg Illinois. Our quality certified mechanics at Larry and Dan's Marathon employ today's latest automotive technology and are equipped to handle all major and minor auto repair services on foreign and domestic vehicles. Or, if you choose to perform your automotive checks yourself, consult your automotive manual to determine the type and schedule of the recommended service. For proper engine care, check your vehicle's oil level once a month; recommended oil change minimum every 3000 miles. Maintain proper air pressure in your tires: Important for safe vehicle operation and maximum tire wear.

We were in Schaumburg area from out of town. Exhaust system was LOUD... I was a bit worried about being taken advantage of....... Larry & Dan's / Marty fixed the issue with a $15 clamp. A few bucks for labor and an oil change. Less than $100.00. 1 visit and i know these guys are honest. Thanks for the great service.

Superb service. Friendliest owner and employees around. They are very personable and incredibly reasonable. Unlike so many other repair shops, they do not try to sell you services or repairs you don't actually need. If you work or live in the area, after you drop off your car they will drive you to work or home so you can have a normal day while your car is being worked on, then come pick you up when the car is done. My #1 choice.

Our default place for car repairs! Several times, they've proven to have the best price and have shown to be trustworhty. For instance they either referred me to another place that could do the work for less, they've advised me that repairs other places wanted to charge me for were not needed, or they've offered "good, better, best" options for repairs. I've referred them numerous times to my friends. A part of me would like to keep them secret, as the saying goes "good mechanics are hard to find." However, they deserve to be known in the area.

The most honest place in the area to get your repairs done. I have known Dan and the staff 15+ years. Worked there in high school and continue to bring my vehicles there for all repairs. If you have had a bad experience in the past or just don't trust auto mechanics in general, stop in and give them a go. You will not regret it!
