We are an educational service caring for the Winthrop community since 1993. Our programs include care for infants through age 6. Here at PTLC, we strive to provide an exciting and educational environment for your child. Children learn best through exploration and discovery, mixed in with consistency and structure.

Services
Pleasant Times Learning Center is a place where kids can thrive, explore the world around them, and be themselves! We want our parents to come here and feel safe, connected, and a part of their child's journey through PTLC. We see ourselves as a family and we welcome yours to join!. PTLC was founded in 1993 by the late Roseann Tavares.
Our highly-trained team strives to make sure every classroom has a safe and engaging atmosphere that will keep your child happy during class time, while also fostering positive relationships with families. Staff members are certified, experienced and share a mission of developing a positive foundation for young learners.
We focus on the whole child by integrating social and emotional development into our programming. Through small and large group play activities we promote self esteem and positive interactions. We also build healthy body images through our food program and fostering a safe environment for self expression.

Pleasant Time Learning Center is absolutely fabulous. They made the transition for both us and our 4 month old starting daycare so easy and comfortable. Their communication is fantastic, sharing photos throughout the day and updates on meals, naps, diapers and their response time to questions and comments is consistently quick and clear.
My daughter Zoe has been so happy there and we love all of the staff. They operate with the level of professionalism and expertise of a large center, but with a small- family feel. I would recommend PTLC to any parents!

I couldn’t recommend Pleasant Time Learning Center enough. Our son was enrolled here from age 3 months to 13 months. As a first time mom, Andrea and all the wonderful staff at PTLC made me feel at ease. I knew my son was safe in their care. Not only that, but PTLC taught him so much. He easily met all milestones with their loving support. He looked forward to getting there every day and was so excited to see his teachers and friends. Unfortunately we moved out of area, but we are so grateful for the time our son had at Pleasant Time Learning Center. It truly is a family environment there.

I have nothing but great things to say about PTLC. Our two boys started at the center at 3 months old and had wonderful experiences all the way until they graduated to kindergarten. The teachers at PTLC are kind and patient and have become special people in our kids' lives. Andera, the center's director/owner, does a great job with curriculum and communicating with parents. Not only is PTLC a real bargain, they have a unique family/customer-focused mindset, which is much appreciated, ie. when the public schools preemptively close for snow storms that never arrive (and usually fall on Mondays, Fridays

This place is a absolute gem! They have a wonderful staff and an owner that truly cares about all of her kids. Each day is packed with educational and recreational activities, and they do a great job keeping parents in the know through Brightwheel with pictures, class updates, and fun recipes. I would not want my daughter anywhere else. She has learned so much through their curriculum and continues loves it there. Recommend 100%! Get it touch with Andrea before they are all filled up!

We loved having our son attend here. The staff loves and cares for each child, they’re also great at engaging kids with crafts and activities. In addition, they always ensure the kids get time outside. My wife and I new our son was getting valuable learning experiences all day long, learning from their peers and teachers.

We have had an exceptional time being apart of the Pleasant Time Learning Center family! We have nothing but great things to say about our experience. Our daughter is truly thriving under the wonderful care of Andrea and her team! Pleasant Times has an interactive curriculum with thoughtful, themed lesson plans every day. We love that they use BrightWheel the app so we can always see what our little one is up to during the day! PTLC has been a life saver during the quarantine, we are both essential workers and we’re floundering to figure out how we’d both be able to keep working. Pleasant Times

My first and only Grandbaby attends PTLC in Winthrop. She is absolutely thriving!! I have personal experience with Andrea and her fabulous team. I dropped off and picked up my granddaughter for an entire week as my daughter and son-in-law are essential workers.My grandbaby is only 18 months old and she’s excited to see her teachers and friends every single day. It is a testament to what PTLC is doing right on a daily basis. Andrea and her staff at PTLC have been amazing!! From three months to now 4.5 years, they have cared for, loved, and protected our child. Wonderful place for our girls. They are learning so much. Lots of fun, developmentally appropriate structured activities. Healthy snacks. Gymnastics for preschoolers. And real time updates of pictures, activities, meals/snacks, naps and messages from teachers all in a user friendly app. Staff are kind and knowledgeable, and you can tell really care about the kids.
