At Boston Collegiate Nannies, we understand that a nanny should be more than just a childcare provider. Lydia has over 17 years of experience as a professional nanny, household manager, teacher, coach, and camp counselor in the Chicagoland area. Lydia obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago and spent several years working in finance immediately after graduating.
Boston Collegiate Nannies (BCN) was launched in June of 2018 by Lydia Brown. After putting herself through college working as a nanny, camp counselor, and babysitter, Lydia graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Marketing. Post-graduation, Lydia spent several years working in finance before ultimately deciding that her true passion lay in entrepreneurship and working with children.

Once we have received your family's application, Boston Collegiate Nannies will call you to ask follow-up questions and become better acquainted with your family's individual needs. We will also send you our Agreement. This contract outlines our agency's terms and conditions. Please review it carefully, and don't hesitate to ask us any questions you may have about the Agreement.

They have deadlines to get in documents before you interview with the company and if they aren’t in 24 hours in advance you cannot interview. I had to reschedule my interview twice because of work and being sick but don’t give someone a deadline for documents before they even decide if they are interested in your positions. There are so many agencies out there, seek elsewhere. These people are rude and condescending.

Got hired and was told I would be promised the hour and shifts I needed. Once I got hired the schedule was very inconsistent didn’t get the hours I needed. Made me travel to far homes out of the travel range I was promised. The job was not what they told me it would be and didn’t promise me the hours or days I wanted. Very disappointed in this company. They schedule you homes extremely last minuete and you never know your shift until 24-48 hours ahead. Do not recommend.

BCN helped me find my job as a nanny for a great family. They were extremely easy to work with and made the job finding process a breeze. It can be very difficult to find the right childcare job, but they connected me with a loving and flexible family in just two weeks. I love LOVE the kids I work with and the parents are great bosses.
