PGA Tour athletes recognize the diversity of our movement disciplines that help improve their game. I started at the BBI 5 years ago when I was looking for a spark to what was had become my routine. I found it at Body Balance. When I started at BBI, I was stuck in the rut of weight training wit. I started Pilates after suffering through a herniated disc in my neck, followed a few months later by a partially frozen shoulder.
10 years of regular Pilates later and I've not experienced any of. I've been doing pilates at BBI since their opening at Hodge Boulevard in 2007. Last week while traveling I was descending one of those narrow metal staircases attached to a small plane and of cour. Olivia Gold is a NCCAOM Board Certified Acupuncture Physician and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. Olivia studied Psychology and Social Sciences at the Florida State University. After graduating in 2012, she went on to study Traditional Chinese Medicine in South Florida and received a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science and a Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine.
As an authorized training center for Balanced Body Education, we offer elite, comprehensive instructor training. Vicki, my instructor, is a truly amazing woman. She has such a deep understanding of the material and the human body as a whole and she has such a gift for sharing that knowledge.
Her enthusiasm is impossibly contagious and I not only walked away from this course at the end with that shared enthusiasm but also with the confidence that I would be successful in passing my new found knowledge onto my Pilates students.Vicki Sullivan is an excellent instructor! I'm new to the studio and had a great first visit and can't imagine from my initial impression or from friends I KNOW who love BBI that I couldn't love it and the people there if I find out that I enjoy pilates (and it helps me with pain like I've been told by those same friends). Excited for this adventure!

I've been taking Pilates and Gyrotonic classes/privates at Body Balance for over 5 years. They offer so many options to choose from and each one is better than the next! The instructors are highly trained and certified and treat everyone as an individual - no cookie cutter, one fits all regimen for anyone here. I've had back problems for years and can honestly say the personalized program I've learned from BBI has kept me from another back surgery - and I look and feel better better and stronger than before I began!

I have been attending classes here for about four years. BBI is easily the best Pilates studio in Jax if you're looking for variety and quality. They offer a wide variety of classes for all levels and ages and have tons of fun, innovative options for props in class. The instructors are incredibly knowledgable of anatomy and physiology and the caliber of training they receive is unmatched in our city. Newcomers are welcomed easily in the community so try out BBI if you haven't already! I hesitate to add this too...because I don't want you taking my spot on the schedule :) but
