John Van really cared about my welfare throughout, he did an excellent job explaining everything and showed me photos of everything that he found and why the crown was necessary. He has a very calming and easy manner. I am very happy and feel lucky that he is my dentist! Each person is dedicated to making each patient feel welcome and cared for. Our front desk team can schedule convenient appointments, handle all insurance claims and financial matters professionally. Your teeth will be cleaned by one of our skilled dental hygienists. We will remove plaque and tarter from your teeth with manual or ultrasonic scaling, as well as flossing.

Dr. Van was born and raised in the Bay Area and has remained in the community for most of his life. He received a full academic scholarship to the University of California, Los Angeles, for outstanding achievement in high school. After earning his BS in psychobiology, he attended one of the top clinical dental training programs in the country at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
Dr. Davis Beckstead is a Bay Area native who grew up in Los Altos and is a third-generation dentist in his family. Dr. Beckstead graduated from the prestigious University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco where he excelled in clinical dentistry. During his dental training, he learned about all aspects of general dentistry and has a true passion for what he does.

Dr. John Van who is not only a dentist par excellence, but an amazing oral surgeon. having him as your dentist brings amazing meeting to the dentistry title, Dental arts of Mountain View. When I fell on my driveway and cracked my 2 front teeth, Rosie moved mountains to fit me in the next morning at 7:30 AM. I was in pretty rough shape, & they had to extract my left front tooth and put crowns on 4 front teeth. Dr. Van figured out a temporary bridge, & even though I was there for almost 4 hours, I went home looking just perfect and so very thankful. Perfection as well as great care is

She holds herself and all her staff to high standards of excellence; she has the latest equipment; she keeps up with the latest advances; and she takes a holistic approach, understanding how the health of the mouth affects overall health. Dental Arts of Mountain View is the best experience you can have going to the dentist. Dr. Van has the best bedside manner of any dentist I’ve ever had. He has a calm and caring demeanor, is very meticulous and decisive with his work, and takes the time to walk you through his plan and recommendations. His support staff similarly exemplify top level skills and customer service, including his assistants Shellissa and Lo. Rosie and Bianca in the front office are also so friendly and professional. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. Their staff, Rosie and Susy, are always friendly and very nice to work with. All their hygienists through the years are just the best. I've been going to Dental Arts for a long time (more than 10 years) and I've always received consistently great dental service. I'm just not interested in going anywhere else as the dentists here are highly professional, competent and I never seem to have problems after work is completed. I have a high level of confidence in Dental Arts.

The only place I feel like I can safely settle back and take a much needed nap while Dr Van and his wonderful assistant, Lo work on my pearly whites! I have thousands of dollars in my mouth and I trust their assessments and work done in that very expensive mouth!! As for Suzy,Rosie and Bianca... the front desk welcoming staff who-can-do-anything... well it doesn’t get better than those three !

Dr. Van was my dentist when he previously worked at 450 Sutter in San Francisco. I work in the peninsula so I'm glad I was able to follow him to Dental Arts in Mountain View. Dr. Van has taken care of my annual dental needs as well as did my Invisalign. My teeth shifted significantly after I stopped wearing my retainers as an teenager, and in the months leading up to my wedding last year, I decided to go for Invisalign.
