Direct primary care is a model where the patient pays his or her physician a fixed monthly fee that covers the majority of your basic health care needs. In addition to offering traditional in-office appointments, this approach allows the option to provide care in nontraditional ways such as via phone, email, and video conferencing.
Perhaps most importantly, direct primary care improves access to care, allowing me to spend extended time with each patient while guaranteeing same or next day appointments. Services
I first heard about direct primary care in 1999 and was attracted to the concept of price transparency and the ability to spend more time with his patients. I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University, an MD degree from Jefferson Medical College, and a family medicine residency program at Lancaster General Hospital.

We have seen Dr. Lupold for our medical care for over 15 years now. In that time we have always known him to provide excellent care that is compassionate, thorough, and evidence based. He is always eager to help and is intentional about following up on any medical concerns or questions that we have. Five stars for Alere Family Health and Dr. Lupold! Dr. Lupold is, by far, the best physician that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He genuinely cares for his patients, takes a great deal of time and really listens. The direct care model is extremely patient centered. Dr.Chris Luphold is outstanding. I have seen him through out the years and I'm so happy that he offers the Direct Care now. I have constant contact with him or Quinn, they take the time to listen to "YOU" and not that you are just a number on a chart. Medications are always available at mind blowing rates. the monthly fee is affordable and I will continue to be a lifelong patient.

Direct Primary Care is a great medical care model. Dr Lupold is very knowledgeable, he takes great care to listen and assess. He is accessible and responds in a timely fashion to emails or texts. My husband and I have experienced a wonderful level of care. I am so pleased that we chose Alere Family Health. Ashley his nurse is on top of things and quick to respond to questions. She is both friendly and professional.

Dr Lupold cares about focusing on what’s most important in medicine. He builds rapport with his patients and desires to know them so as to truly build the best and most comprehensive medical treatment plans for them. By doing this, you, the patient, feel cared for and respected, and you know your time with him was thorough and the outcome of care was individualized just for you. Hard to find that type of doctor and attention to detail, (your details), in medicine anymore. Thankful my family is cared for by him. Did I mention he can see you ON THE DAY YOU CALL!!
