Donate to the Margie Meares Retreat Scholarship Support Fund, which provides cost registration for a member needing financial assistance to participate in an Anattasati Magga retreat. If you would like to help the Sangha in other ways, there are several skills and goods that are on our wish list. Perhaps you could spend a few hours landscaping the grounds.
Anattasati Magga's four programs include the Sangha, InnerVision, The Center for End of Life Transitions, and the Carolina Memorial Sanctuary. The Mission of Anattasati Magga is to end suffering; to end fear of life and death transitions; to enhance the quality of life of all beings; to offer opportunities for personal growth.
We are a Sangha, or Buddhist community, for laypeople - which means we are open to beginners as well as those who have been practicing for many years. If it's your first time here, please consider the following ways to get involved and learn more. If you haven't visited our Sangha before, the best way to familiarize yourself with our offerings is by attending an orientation through Zoom.
Since her first reading of the teachings of Gotama Buddha in A Buddhist Bible in 1976, Nancy Spence-Edwards has avidly and sincerely practiced offering the Buddha, the Dharma, and Sangha. To deepen her own practice, she began lay training at Vichara Bodhiyana Monastery in Greeley Hill, California, under Jay Dupont, Roshi.
