I'm getting ready to travel for the holidays. I go in for a brake pad replacement with one thing on my mind, "are they going to tell me my rotors/drums need replacing too?" And the exact opposite happens! They give me a call after a $65 brake Inspection and say I still have good-to-medium width for my brakes and they charge me nothing! They could have easily charged me for the inspection and the good advice, but instead they got a customer that will be going back over and over again. Amazing!

They are great people who care with heart. They even show you the old parts and explain the process without guessing what the problem is unlike other shops. They work with you in what you can afford. I highly recommend this place.
They once again saved me. My tire had a nail in it. No questions asked they fixed it up. I had just recently purchased tired there. I was in and out. The people are fantastic. Thank you Herb's Garage. A trillion kudos.

My friend recommended Herb's Garage, and I'm so glad I went there. I needed new brakes, and oil change and an alignment. This garage ran business in a respectful, efficient, and professional manner. With moving to Orange County recently it has been tough trying to find a reputable automotive repair shop. Luckily I found out about Herb’s Garage through work. And I’m very happy that I did. Herb took care of my car like it was his own. He went above and beyond with his service. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. While doing the rotation the mechanics noticed my brakes were low and gave a great price on the parts and service (pads and rotors resurfaced). I will definitely be bringing my cars here for service after my experience. Thanks Herb!

I went in to get a slow leak in my tire repaired and to have my squeaky window checked. I'm not very car savvy however Darren helped me make an informed decision about the services I needed (and didn't need)! They repaired my tire quickly while I spent less than 10 minutes in their clean and comfortable waiting room. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, I will definitely be going back for all future car services!

Sketchy. My daughter and I were told she needed a new transmission and that instead of repairing the car we should just donate the car to a charity. We were then offered a car on their lot to purchase. This seemed legitimate until we called to get the old car picked up by the donation people. The owner hung up on the donation company and when we called to see what was up, we were told that the car was "theirs now".
When I called the owner again to question this, she said they would "take care of our car and that she would send me a donation slip for our taxes". That never happened

We have happily used Herb's Garage for over 20 years now. We just had two of our cars tuned up, lube and oil, and fix the AC that was not working well. Best part about Herb's is that they didn't try the hard upsell. Their recommendations were helpful. The owners are always friendly and accommodating. My old mechanic retired so I had to find someone new.
I was going to use them, need to get a head gasket replaced on a 2003 Mustang Mach 1. Went to Repairpal and got a quote $3400-$4200 if both gaskets needed to be replaced and they listed 23 shops that could do the work.
I called Herbs garage to start to set up an appointment and to confirm the quote range was accurate.
Explained the problem to the lady that answered the phone and she went right to, you have to bring it in before we can give you a quote. So I guess this online on RepairPal " We found 23 RepairPal Certified shops

Found my go to auto shop in the Newport-Costa Mesa area. Extremely friendly and accommodating. Went in slightly nervous as this was the first time I ever needed serious work done. I never realized it would be so easy. All of the contact with the insurance was taken care of by their team. I was kept in the loop as far as progress and when to expect my vehicle back. Darren was more then happy to take me to get my rental and offered to pick me up once the vehicle was done. The workmanship was second to none, didn't realize they could bring my baby back. Ashlin is a sweetheart and is willing to help

This is a gross example of a business being driven by sales people rather than technicians.
I told a family member (mechanic) about the repair work being done to my car and was told I was being charged more than double. When I described their additional recommendations, I was advised, "get your car out of there. "
Spent $1000 and I'm so much more worried about my safety after the "repair work" than before.
Really regret coming here.

I keep getting stalked by Darrin as evidenced from my text pics. I keep asking him to leave me alone but he won't stop.
I've been going to this mechanic for years based on my brother's recommendation. Mostly I'm in and out in an hour or 2 for random things while I wait in their waiting room.
Recently, I needed body work done. Daron, the son of the owner assured me it would be 2 days. When I called, oh 2 days more, then another call, 2 days more. Then Wednesday for sure. I call Wednesday and oh no Thursday for sure. Then I call on Thursday oh Friday we're done. Friday
